We will be going to several Christmas parties and need some ideas for Hostess gifts. I usually bring a bottle of wine or some pretty Christmas ornaments.
Anyone have any ideas of clever gifts that you've given/received?
I usually spend around $20.

I saw something neat at Sam's Club yesterday-it was a cheese board w/ 4 different high quality cheeses and a cheese knife and was $15. It was in w/ the cold cheeses. I would love to receive something like this as a hostess gift.

I could dig out my recipe for pecan jam, that would be unique.

Here's what I do, depending on their likes:

wine in a pretty velvet bag
bag of espresso beans with some small coffee syrups in a gift basket
Ghirardelli hot chocolate assortment in a basket (I put chocolates around them too)
Bag of chocolate covered espresso beans
case of beer (this one has been especially popular even though I always feel weird giving it)
Gift card with a "5 free hours of babysitting...go have fun!" (either I do it or pay a sitter for them)

Could you share your recipe for your pecan jam? I'm thinking that with your wonderful Oatmeal Raisin Cookies dipped in the white chocolate would be wonderful!
