First "snow" of the season

It happened this morning. I live in the Eugene, OR area. We had what I call "lumpy rain" but it was snow all right! They say the Farmer's Almanac says it will be the coldest winter in five years.
How is the weather? Any snow yet? Temp? It's around 40 here that is cold for us.

Oh...it's all of 2 degrees here! And snowing like crazy. It's not our first snow of the season, as we had about 4 inches around Halloween. It snowed on Saturday and left about 2-3 inches, and we are expected to get upwards of 6 inches w/ this storm. We're in a valley--the higher elevations could see about 2 feet. We're in Montana.

It's raining here in Kansas, but it's in the upper 50's. It's supposed to rain today, tomorrow, turn to a mix on Wednesday and a chance for snow on Thursday. However, I don't believe anything the forecasters say beyond today. I can forcast as well as they can beyond that!

Washington Coast here. Brrrr! Snow showers off and on all day. I can feel the temperature drop! School was 2 hours late this morning, and with the expected freezing temperatures tonight, I doubt school will be on time, if at all, tomorrow. Snow melting + temp in the teens at night = icy mess in the morning.

Currently is 32 degrees according to my thermometer on the porch.

I'm COLD!!!!!

This should make for an interesting Monday Night Football game though - Go Seahawks!!

We had our first snow of the year last night here! Our house is at 6000ft. so the snow was only at our house--I have to drive my son 3.8 miles down the hill to the bus stop and it was just rain there. It's super duper cold tonight though....much much colder than last night. And very windy.

I live in Minnesota.
It was hard to wake up this morning, now I see why.... Not only is it freakishly 55 degrees but we are having a thunderstorm!
Our weather has been so odd this fall.
The rest of the week is to be more on target with 32 degree weather.

I want lots of snow when I leave on Christmas Eve for our Disneyland trip. (but not a blizzard when our plane is to leave LOL).
It will make California weather and all the green plants a pleasure to see.

Well last night we had real snow! It is pretty cold out now and snowing really hard. First it warmed up a tad, just enough to show ugly brown patches in our yard. Then it coldened up again so it is too icy to drive and I am just staying home watching it and enjoying it. I have my snow boots and snow jacket by the door and when the dogs go out I go too just to act like a kid for a few minutes! I love it!!!

First snow here (Colorado) was in October, then we had a blizzard that dumped 16 inches. Mountains are getting hammered right now and we are do for 4-6 inches for Wednesday. I love snow in the early winter. By March and April - I'll be wishing it was over.

So far I've only seen a few flurries that lasted only a few minutes. I'm surprised we don't have any yet living in Maine. Oh well.....I'm sure we'll get it sooner or later.

We had our first snow yesterday, 6 inches, it was 10 degrees first thing this morning. We had thunder snow, thunder, lightening and snow all at the same time. I guess this storm is moving eastward, it was 80 on Monday and Tuesday this week and even Wednesday morning it was in the 70's then in a couple of hours it dropped about 50 degrees and started with alot of wind and rain for a day, then it turned to sleet and ice by the night time, then yesterday it finally turned to all snow.

Hello! I live in Springfield, Oregon and I was so dang disappointed our first "snow" of the season wasn't more! We were all wishing for a day off of school

The weather has definitely been strange. I hope we get a real snow day or two before winter is gone. Seems like February is usually when it happens.
