I have been on myspace for a bit. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, keep on top of new stuff (so I won't have my head in the sand when my kids are old enough to use things) and to see if I could find old friends.

It's been fun so far and I have gotten to catch up with old friends, see who married who, who lives where, etc. I've found a new ex boyfriends and it's been nice to see they are doing well. I'm not on their daily but I logged in yesterday and I'm a little weirded out. An old boyfriend (who just became a member) emailed me and basically said I ruined his life and marriage because he never got over me, still loves me. Uh, it was almost 15 years ago and I was 18...YIKES. I shared with my DH because it's freaky. I know I can block him from messaging me but it made me think:

anyone else have something freaky happen to them on myspace? You hear about chiild predaters, etc but as an adult, have you had something weird happen?

YES! I had a female stalker from HS. Some woman that I was barely friends with in HS kept emailing me like 2 or 3 times a day on myspace. Wanted to be friends offline again, (she lives in another state, thank goodness) and all kinds of weird stuff. I had to un-friend her.

I admit, its nice to catch up with some folks, and it lets me keep an eye on my own kids MS pages.

nice to know I'm not the only one. This guy used to live in the city I live in and actually lived 2 blocks away (neither of us knew it though). He's halfway across the US now but still....

The political system is broke and it's a joke.

I have an account there, but hardly use it. It is a good way to keep in touch with friends. Luckily I haven't had any "strange" things happen on there.

I have found a ton of old friends... It is relaxing for me to work on my page. Nothing strange yet

I did have this creepy dude who realllllly wanted to be my friend because he thought I was cute??? Does that count?

Anyway, I just hope my students do not find me on there!
