Does anyone know if

the Triaminic Cold Patches are still available? I used to be able to get them at Wal-Mart or Rite-Aid, was at both places and they do not have them. Are they not making them anymore? They work wonders on my girls and wanted to stock up before ole man winter rears his ugly head!

TIA!

They aren't listed at the Triaminic web site, but they do have soft chews and Thin Strips that melt in your mouth. HTH

They were recalled because some children ate them and had seizures. I did not find out until I went searching for them-they were great and really helped when my kids had a cold, etc. with congestion. They were so strong smelling, I can't imagine a child eating one. I put them on my 4 year old and 9 year old with no problems.

Are we talking about the vapor patches? Those have been recalled? What a bummer! My kids really liked them. I could have sworn I just bought them a month ago at Ralphs. I can't imagine anyone eating them - they smell so strong!

My childhood was shared with 6 siblings, an overworked stressed out mother and an absent father back in the '50's. One of my fondest memories was of my mother rubbing my chest with vicks when I had a cold and then making sure it was covered with a cotton undershirt. I haven't heard of the Triaminic patches till this thread but they can't be as comforting as a mother's hand and a mother's love trying to make her child feel better. Just my 2 cents. And I'm not judging anyone - just recalling a warm fuzzy from my childhood.

Oh I hear ya, my mom used to put a pot of hot water under my bed with the open jar of Vick's sitting in the water. The vapor would fill my room and I'd sleep like a rock (she'd rub some on my chest too). I just liked the patches because they were very convenient, and my girls would ask for them. (and if they're asking for certain medicine without whining I'm buying it! )

Didn't have the same childhood BUT I have the same memory of vicks. That or menthalum (sp?). I still like it when I'm sick
