Lisa, I laughed out loud when I read your post about the RETURNED gift! LOL!!!!Our kids are still too young to snoop but we hide ours in the garage in the two "Rooftop Luggage Carriers" we have for our van. We have a hardsided one that locks and then the big soft sided black one that zips closed like gigantic duffle bag. That one stays down low for me to fill quickly when I come in from shopping. This year's most hilarious item to hide is my middle kiddo wanted a bean bag and Garden Ridge had some cute primary/multicolor ones for 9.99 this past weekend. HA HA HA! It didn't look that big in the store... Now I've got it here and it's like trying to hide an elephant! X |

I don't actually "hide" the presents. What I do is that as soon as I buy a gift I bring it home and wrap it up. Then I put on a little round sticker and write a number on it. I keep a hidden list of what that number present is and who it goes to. This way I can just pile the presents in the closet without having to hide them. Drives my kids crazy! LOL I also make sure to use "deceptive" boxes, meaning if it is a video game I will put it in a cereal box or something like that before I wrap it so that they can't just grab the gift and know what it is by the shape and size. At this point my boys don't have a clue what they are getting because of this strategy I use! LOL LOL

I hide my kids presents in the rolling luggage in the basement. We keep black trash bags over the luggage so they don't get dusty. Till this day, they still haven't figured out where I hide them. I better knock wood! lol

We don't have a basement but we have storage under the house that runs the length of the house. We store all our Garden, Halloween, Christmas stuff, bikes, power wheels, scooters, camping stuff, patio furniture and whatever else I'm tired of looking at. I store the gifts there in empty storage containers. It would take forever for them to find the loot.

In a huge mattress box. My DH calls it THE BOX..lol Whenever a b-day or event comes up that needs a gift he always pokes fun of me and asks when I need THE BOX down again

In my closet, in the garage, in the storage room behind our house. It's locked so they can't get in there unless they ask for the key. If they happened to ask for a key this time of year, it would be to snoop so we'd know, lol. lisacb and xhausted1- you made me LOL with your posts. And xhausted1, I've been in your shoes-back a few months ago Target had huge red bean bags on clearance so I got 2. They don't look *that* big on the shelf even but try to stuff the darn things in your cart

I put them in our closet behind the long winter coats and in storage bins.

We hide ours in the closet or in the camper. I hid dd's lip gloss I bought for her stocking so well that even I can't find it. I hope I find it before Christmas.
