What are you getting your sig other

for Christmas? I am SO excited....I just bought dh a gps navigation system for his truck. I am sick of the 10,000 maps he keeps tucked in his doors, glove box, wherever he can stash them. He even has some in my car! I hope he likes it, cause it's the only gift he's getting! (I went a bit over budget) So he gets that plus his stocking.

So far, I've gotten a smoker for him to make jerky. I'm REALLY hoping to find a great deal on a Bose surround system but, I don't know if it'll happen. So, I really should come up with another idea!

That's a really nice gift!!! Hope the voice on the GPS is a guy's voice because men never get directions, especially from a woman!! LOL!

LOL! I keep thinking about that commercial where the guy is talking to his wife and the female voice on his navigation system tells him where the hotel is...and his wife hangs up on him cause she thinks another woman is in the car!

I asked him to give me some hints and so far he hasn't. Only thing I know I'll get him so far is the latest "Who" cd since that's his favourite group.

A crossbow. That's all he's asking for. I'm sure I'll find other stocking stuffers too.

I've been a Who fan since I was old enough to steal my brothers' records and I have to say, sadly, that this is the worst yet. If he has the catalogue definitely get it for him, but it's not for the casual fan. It's all Pete - words and music - with Roger trying his hardest to sing along. Some of the instrumentals are gorgeous, but that's Pete's magic fingers. After 24 years I was really sad that this was all they could come up with. The worst part for me was in the DVD that comes with the CD, Roger didn't do the YEEARRRRRRRRGHHHH! part of "Won't Get Fooled Again."

Dh and I are doing Christmas a little differently this year ,instead of buying for each other we are each going to make a list of things we would like and have each of our boys chose one to give to us. We will still fill each others stockings but no big ticket items this year. My 8yr old is having open heart surgery after Christmas so we are trying to not spend as much on Christmas for each other as we have in years past So far Dh will be recieving a USC hoodie from our oldest, Firefly dvd set from the youngest and my middle hasnt decided yet

Best wishes and speedy recovery for your 8 yr old.

I'm paying for a vacation to Disneyland, we arrive Christmas Eve/Day.
Not planning to buy any gifts for anyone this year. Might get DH a new pin or something else while at DL.
Or something from Lakeshore Learning to add to his "teacher stuff" for when he gets a teaching job next school year. I know he wants a chalk holder, colored chalk and red marking pens... we are very much a HH that buys things with a purpose. (Except Disney stuff, that's just for fun! )

A new hunting rifle. Three years ago our home flooded and we lost every thing that we owned. His rifle too. SO I finally have the money saved to get him a new rifle and he wont even miss the money....

My DH wants a dvd burner, and I want a scanner - I'm not technologically intelligent enough to know what to look for, and if these two features can be combined into one item... I guess I have to start doing research.

I'm so psyched to hear all of your ideas, though!

Just sending good wishes for DS!
I had open heart surgery 'back in the day" before they could do most of what they can do now. It's really amazing how far things have come! (I had to wait to be big enough for my surgery, now they can do things in-utero!)
Good vibes all around!!

I'm getting my DB stuff he needs. New t-shirts, couple pairs of cute boxers, a comforter, a couple movies, a Motown CD.

Now I feel like a bad GF but he is recovering from open heart surgery and not working so I know he will appreciate the things I buy.
