Hi Brenda! It was so sweet of you to ask about my mom. She is doing ok. She still has Lymphoma, but it is a quiet stage. Not really remission, but not growing. You were such a great support to me when I first found out about my mom. I hope you are doing well. It is nice to see you. I am not here much but I do stop in once in a while to see how my old friends are doing. A hummingbird told me to come over & I'm glad I did because it was great seeing you Brenda & very kind that you remembered me. Take care.

I have been here for a while. I took a break from these board a few years ago when things got really bad (most of you remember). I just signed back on a few days ago. I been been a member since De. 2000. I used to read every post on the Family board everyday. I never comented much though. Only if I had something to say.

I found MC back in 1999, when the board full of Jr high school boys I frequented invaded and started a cyberwar. I have so many fond memories of my times here. The best was the great Amazon sale/glitch of 2000. I remember staying up all night shopping. As soon as someone found a new deal I'd throw it in my cart and check out. I bought 7 $129 Cybikos for 7.99ea. When my dh asked what they were? All I could tell him was that the MC-moms said to buy them and I did. They turned out to be the only thing my nieces wanted for Christmas that year.

Hi AMulquin! How's the family?

It seems like old times, I'm so glad to see all the ladies that helped me find great deals online. Kinda missed staying up all night talking to you all and shopping online.

Kazpooh, glad to hear your mother is doing good.

HI all! Don't know if anyone remembers me, I lurked long before I finally joined and I haven't posted here in ages, I think at least 2 years now. I was a frequent on the LWIF and deals board before I jumped to the family board, then I was a mod on the craft board for a bit. Remember when Itoys went out and did the $5 flat shipping, I made out like a bandit!! And then there was the idolls shopping daze! Oh and I miss the test drives at Drugstore.com, boy 2000 was a great cyber year, lol!

Anyway, I've been away from the boards for awhile, too much going on in my life, but things are settling down again and I decided to look at this board yesterday, and here I am today. The last 2 years in a nutshell....we were in Maine, dh got a great job offer in Texas, moved there and I absolutely hated it, no offense meant to those who live there, but it was j ust not for me, so three months ago we moved back to Maine, YAHHHH! And in May we had our 6th baby, a sweet baby boy named Zachary who is absolutely beautiful. And he is such a good natured baby, of course I think he subconsciously knows to be because he put me through heck during my pregnancy.

So, I would love to join the board again if you all will have me.

Tiff

Along with coming back to read the boards I had another blast from the past Thanksgiving day. I had 4 Turkey serving dishes I had never taken out of the boxes and couldn’t remember where they came from until I opened the boxes and out tumbled shredded red/white/silver paper LOL “Great Entertaining???

I still have 6 giant disco balls I use every New Year’s Eve and strings of Santa lights. I forget what the deals were – free shipping & $10 off $10.? It’s not so much the deals I remember it’s the tons of shredded paper flying out of the boxes

One of the last posts I remember is a woman who had never bought a brand new car. Then one day she and her dh decided to purchase a brand new toyota pick up? she was nervous enough as it was but then the truck started to have all sorts of issues..including a cracked windshield and then it even leaked after rain at one point ? I am sorry I do not remember her name but I felt badly for her and wondered how that eventually worked out ?

Who remembers the sears $5.00 coupons off a $5.00 or more item that were flying all over the place? I think I dressed my daughter in $5.98 separates from sears for months (I was charged .98 a piece).

Also, I remember the pampers points being a hot item, and the Luvs points, too! I even got an adorable sleeping bag for my dd from Doughboy points. What ever happened to those types of deals??? Does anyone remember? What did you buy with your points? I'd love to reminise...

Those were fun times.

It is really nice to be able to read and see how everyone is doing! I think that my favorite memory and def. my hubbys is all the free to nearly free stuff I got with the drugstore deals.

So glad to see this board back and hope that it is able to stay around for a while.

My son was talking about all the things we used to get free through greenspoint.com. AND...the best thing I got were the free tennis shoes! I think that was through webmd or something like that! I saved SO much money in 1999 and 2000 on this board! Also, I was going through some rough times at home and this was my sanity!

does anyone remember Jana M? Is she out there? Jana's the one who hooked me up with these boards. Suffice to say, my life (and pocketbook) have never been the same!

Also - Does anyone remember Misti_M (I think that was her name) - she was very helpful to me early on as I built my scrapbooking supplies up with the help of these boards!! LOL.

I've been here for a while too. Back since before "clover wars" .

I was going through some things I had in storage and found lots of good toy deals that I'm eBaying. Back from about 1996ish.

Does anyone remember the food, com deal? If you ordered through their website at a local eatery that participated they rebated you $5.00 on each meal and it was unlimited!!! It lasted quite a while.

Boy, my husband ate free lunch for work for a looong tim. I came across a new t-shirt they must have sent me and it reminded me of it. Brought back good memories.

Really glad to have this board back.

It's nice to see so many familiar names....kinda like a reunion.

Oh, I loved those Sears coupons. We were moving when they came out, so I got to shop at Sears in 3 different states, the state we left, the state we moved to and the state we visited my mom in during the move. I remember the free tennis shoes too! Those were definately the days of the good deals!

Yes.........pets.com

All was good until they realized that free shipping for a heavy bag of pet food wasn't such a great idea.

I still have my pets.com sock monkey somewhere -- oooh the memories. I found this board in the spring of 2000, right before DS#1 was born.

I am very happy to see this board is back on here. The Cafe is going to be one of my favorite places to check out each day. I remember many of the names on here that are being mentioned. It is like a reunion! I have been a member since 2000, and just found the cafe last week.

I have been around since 2000.....lurked a lot, but posted occasionally.

I was unemployed most of that year and this board really helped get us through....remember the game to win the laundry detergent circles (cant remember the name) but we had lots of free soap!!! Christmas stocking stuffers came from drugstore.com or walgreens.....lots and lots of test drives for great prizes!

DEAR God! I think that crayon thread was the beginning of the end. I almost went into heart failure trying to keep up on that, since it spawned the great homeschooling debate of 2004. I am SO happy not to have that stuff this time. And trust me, if I DO see it, it will be closed down faster than a strip club in a church basement.

Oh my gosh, I have been around since 2/99, I think we had one or two boards then. I can't even remember all the deals and reward programs and stuff. Reading these posts made me remember things I forgot, like Go Collect and the candles.

Being a military wife I often think about Jessy and wonder how she is. Her husband was killed in Iraq during, I think, the first or second year of the war. She had an infant son.

I joined shortly after I had dd1. She was born 9/99 so it was probably in early 2000. I remember getting a lot of webcertificates through freeride and waiting for those darn hitchhikers. I left shortly after the clover wars. I often wonder about Laura, the thrifting queen, and another mom with 3 boys that were pretty close together. I can't remember her name though.

Hi Stella - yes, we are in Edmond. And, you have a great memory. We moved here from Missouri. When I first found My Coupons and was getting all the deals we were in Missouri. Do you still come to Crest sometimes? I remember you sharing your Weight Watcher info. with me. I am still fighting the battle.

How are you and the boys doing? Are you doing better? I would love to hear more about what is happening in your life. I remember Tim's accident. So tragic. I am sure it is especially hard for you this time of year. I am so sorry. Are you still in Yukon?

Wow, this was my first board I discovered back in feb '99 when I had my twins. What fabulous memories I have from back then!! Every once in a while I pop on back by here to see what is going on...

I had forgotten about flooze til it was mentioned!!!! I had stored items in old diaper boxes so I hit the jackpot with redeeming points from on those boxes. Pampers ran out of jeeps so they sent me a check for over $100 if I remember correctly (although I did want the jeep!) and I got several pooh, tigger chairs from the other diaper company... the deals poured in soo quickly it made my head spin ...

My first good freebie was the laptop case that I didn't expect to get. It wasn't until last month I got a laptop so I took that sucker out of hiding after all these years do you believe it????

glad to see some of you still come by....

Ok i don't know what happened to my post but I remember the deals and the fun rewards, what a time.

Lived through that 'clover' thing, and left for quite a while after the family board left. Still found myself coming to check here once in a while but haven't posted until this board for a LONG time.

It is nice to see some familiar faces as well.

I never got into any of the debates back then although I read all of them. I used to think "do people really care that passionately about this stuff?". But, I guess some do. I remember coming here to post about one of my twins getting arrested for a DWI. I was in pain. I needed some sympathy like I'd seen other posters get here. What I got was pages of posts by people who wanted to come and string my son up by his thumbs. He and we were being punished enough. I was looking for some compassion. I sincerely hope to find a new breed of posters here. I am still overwhelmed by the posters who responded about my poor sister and nephew.

Oh my the crayons...that was one for the books....

The original Free Ride (not when it left and came back as a bad imitation of itself) and beenz. I used to need a notebook to keep track of all of the rewards I used to do daily.

I still use my backpack from Drugstore.com and ornaments and other fun stuff from Great Entertaining.com. I got a swingset from Amazon for $99.00 w/free shipping. Toys from etoys, so many other wonderful fun deals.

Remember Beenz?

Does anyone remember Beenz? You used to be able to collect these points by visiting websites, cash them in at certain online vendors. It was awesome for a few months and then just ended.

There were a BeenzQueenz site or something like that, I cashed out at for candles and STILL have tealights because I think I ended up with like 500 of them for free
