I'm PJ. I live in upstate NY (Binghamton) with the hubby and two daughters (ages 17 and almost 21), two dogs, and our 3 cats..
Went to Nursing School at St. Josephs in Elmira NY (when they still had 3 year schools which were the best!)
worked at our local hospital in the Maternity/Child/Birthing units until I was terribly injured in a work related incident (fractured 4 vertebrae, tore every ligament on the right side from the hip to the foot) in which I ended up with not only fractures but a ton of nerve damage. That put me out of work for 9 years-then I finally went back to work I worked for Social Services-but then fell, shattered my elbow, and re-injured my spine. My doctor has put me out of work for good as I can no longer rotate my arm and I have no feeling in my left leg and foot (more nerve damage)..so now I'm a stay at homer....which I find terribly tedious..I'm 44, "fluffy" and fabulous....nice to meet you all.

Have you ever gone to Bowman Lake State Park in McDonough NY? OMG IT'S BEAUTIFUL..very secluded, nice clean white sand beach..hardly anyone around to bother you..the campsights are clean, the bathrooms are spotless..and they have "family" nights where they show movies and give popcorn and stuff to the kids and parents who attend..I highly reccommend Bowman if you've never been there!

No we haven't but I'll be sure to tell dh about this! We're always looking for new places to camp. Thanks!!!

We just moved back to Maine after a yr's "vacation" in Texas and I don't plan on moving again,unless we win the lottery(then I will build my dream home, but still in the same town). I am Jean and I live in Northern California (Wouldn't want to live anywhere except California--I have lived in Wisconsin and Michigan so HAVE lived outside Cali). I have been with my Hubby since 1980. We have 2 wonderful kids (well--most of the time they are wonderful, but, come on they are both teenagers so we know how that goes). DD is 16 and DS is 13. I teach in Special Ed classes for Middle School (6.7.8 graders) and count them as my children when they are in my classes. Working in school works so well cuz I am with my kids basically when they are on break or on vacation......

Bargain shopper from way back. I have told my DH many times (he is a man who NEVER looks at a price tag or heads to a clearance rack )that even were we to become millionaires by some fate of life, I would still be a bargain hunting, coupon clipping, afterChristmas shopper.

I love the bargains I am able to find on MC and always share whatever finds I have that noone else has posted first. Also pass along bargains I find here to grateful friends and families.

It is great to read about all of you ! Let's see, I am Mary....45 yrs old. I've been married for 20 years and have 2 ds's..age 19 & 14. The older one is in college and the younger one high school. We live in West Va now right on top of a mountain..but soon hope to move to Florida. My dh lives there now and I am presently trying to sell our house here so I can join him. My dh retired from the Navy after 20 yrs..so that is how we ended up in West Va..I do not like it here, I am an outsider..I love Florida and wish to God I was there now..
we have 2 cats...Skittles and Caroline..and a puppy we just got last month..a mini Eskimo spitz that is a cute fluffball. I love to shop and save money and consider it a hobby. I miss my military commissary but hopefully when we move to FL I can start to shop there again.
