Red face Gripe for the day? Post here

Baahhhumbug!!!!

What part of I want a little time to myself to do my own thing in my house does my DH not understand??? I mean I only have to cook, clean, start packing for vacation, prepare for Christmas at our house for the kids this weekend, help the kids with their homework, do laundry!!!

I am the type of person if my hubby is home and laying or sitting on the couch it drives me INSANE!! it totally unmotivates me and makes me not want to do anything. I like to do things at my own pace and work from room to room how I want to do it. I don't want to be interrupted with "Did you check the mail yet?" "yes dear" " How long ago was it?" OH MY GOSH!!! Then I get make myself a sandwich he says "What are you eating?" "I want one" and I reply "Good go make it" then he looks at me like I am the devil??? and says fine??

I just can't get in the groove of things when he is around, I love him dearly don't get me wrong but I will be having a Merry Christmas when he goes to a different shift and isn't hanging here throughout the day. I can't walk in the store to look at anything without him expecting me to stick right with him and look at what he wants to look at. To make matters worse his parents just moved to Florida.

Ok I am tired and grumpy. Just had to vent some place.

Oh and when my kids come home there are two more people to want, want, want!!!!!!!

Ok, I am smiling now turning the frown upside down, happy thoughts, happy thoughts it's Christmas time happy thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHEW!!

Hi Preacher, I'm the Choir...Nice to meet you!!

My Husband decides every year to take off the week between Christmas and New Years! What does that mean to me?? 10 days IN A ROW of him home and in my hair. Makes me insane! The kids and I have a very set routine, and when he is home, it throws us out of whack. He wants to use the computer, eat lunch, go to the stores, watch shows, etc. I love the man, but 10 days with no break makes me looney. I also don't like if he comes home early from work, that throws me off also. He jokes that I must have a boyfriend, since I tell him not to come home early. It's just that I like my space, and routine, and THAT routine does not include him until after 5pm!

wow....your day sounds about like mine.

I have spent the last 5 hours cleaning my back bedroom. It is supposed to be our schoolroom/office/storage room. But it has been lately just the JUNK room. I took everything out of the room and finally I am done. I am just surprised that people can be so lazy to just open the door and toss things anywhere. The entire time I had my children helping me so they realized this is not the way to keep a room. Hopefully it will never get this way again. YEAH RIGHT!

We always make sure each room in the house is clean the week before Christmas that way we can donate "old" toys (the ones they don't play with anymore) and we can make room for the new ones Santa will bring. So this is our project for the week on top of our daily chores. Sounds like so much fun.

I am dreading tomorrow because we are going to be working on my oldest daughters room after story time at the library and she like to keep EVERYTHING. She is a very creative child and makes things out of anything. LOL She has a box full of empty kool-aid plastic drinkable bottles.

thanks for letting me vent.

Tracy

WAY TO FUNNY! I can so agree with you. Hubby was off for 12 days starting the day before Thanksgiving. OMG it was torture. I love husband very much but 12 days is a very long time. LOL
The kids did not know how to act because "daddy gets to play the computer all day on his game" and they want too also.

OP, I feel your pain. I too, feel like I can't accomplish anything whith DH around. I don't know what it is about having him here that throws off my groove so badly. Since I'm a SAHM, I feel like I never really get a day off. Sure, I can sit down and do nothing (like he does on the weekends) but the laundry, dishes and hungry kids pile up anyway. Sometimes I feel like they're sucking the life out me! Ok, that's a bit dramatic, but I wish they would just give me a break once in a while.

My gripe is about the cashier at my local A.C. Moore today. I asked her if she was open - there was someone in front of me being checked out, but the light wasn't on.
She says "Yes, Yes!"
I said (nicely - softly) Oh - just that the light wasn't on, so I was just checking."
At this point she snaps, "Just give me a minute! I just got here!"

Now, I can't figure out why she's already so stressed - I'm thinking she should be somewhat cheerful, since she just got there! Why the snappiness?

When it actually is my turn to check out, I ask (as I always do - in the friendliest voice) "Do you happen to have any of the '40% off one item' coupons here that someone might have left?" (I sometimes give the coupons to the cashier if I can't use them, and some of them are happy to pass on the savings to other customers, so I was just taking a chance. Again - VERY FRIENDLY!).

"NO!!!" she snaps. Never even makes eye contact with me. Just barks like that.

Then, the twist. She suddenly notices my little 3 year old in the carriage, and her face softens. She tries to play "Peek a Boo" with my 3 year old, but my child will have none of it. THen the cashier actually reaches over, and tries to tickle her!!!!!!!!!! Really!!! - She actually attempts to touch her and tickle her, a perfect stranger. At this point, I'm horrified. Why does this cashier feel so entitled to touch my little girl (how creepy) while she's just been so mean to me for our entire interaction? I moved the carriage just out of her reach while she finished waiting for my receipt, then I left. I was shaking for a while after that one.

Devinmom you should report her to the manager if she tries that again. I guess my gripe for today is, I called my husband on the cell phone, and he spent the entire call griping about the dog being noisy. errr..I live on a mnt top so I have to walk in the cold mind you to the bottom of the mountain to get a signal..then stand there in the night air..so aggravating...and yes, you read right..I have to walk down the mnt to get reception..go figure

I have a gripe about an eBay buyer who lied to me about payment being sent (money order)... Probably a case of miscommunication between herself and her *husband* but please don't lie to me or on the eBay dispute! Heh!

Had to add that about the husband, since they are to blame!!!

Just kidding. I have no complaints or gripes about my husband. Smartest thing we ever did was to get our own TV's in two separate rooms!

Well I agree with the hubby at home thing. I NEVER get much accomplished when he is home BUT my gripe of the day is about the OUTRAGEOUS price people are asking for the JCP $10 coupons....I know I know I don't have to pay it(and I won't) but it is just so annoying how people are only out to make a buck these days instead of trading and helping others.

I LOVE my husband being home, but I do get NOTHING done when he is here. Luckily I only have to ask him to help me and he will pitch in since he knows that I will do nothing with him here.
Here is a HA HA~ROB SAID SOMETHING STUPID.
Last night I asked my husband to drive me to Michaels to get a paint pen.
He said "I don't want to leave the house. You go since you don't have to go out tomorrow."
Hummmm Let's see, who will go take our daughter to school AND pick her up? Who will go to the grocery store? Who will go run errands? Who will wrap inlaws gifts and mail them? Who will drive downtown to spend his money?
Needless to say he got his shoes on and we had a nice drive!!!

My gripe....

About 2 months ago I told my husband my vehicle didn't feel right. He tells me it needs new tires. I told him to please check the vehicle over before we plop $500 on new tires because we really couldn't afford it right now. Long story short the van has $500 in new tires but it can't go anywhere because while running errands on Friday night the motor went. Its going to be $3000 just in parts to fix!!!! I'm going to have to sell body parts on the internet before I can afford that. I wish he would have listened to me and just traded the dang thing in a couple of months ago.
My holidays are looking gloomy at the moment . I was supposed to go visit my sis next weekend ( 1 1/2 hours one way )as she is pregnant with twins and has been on STRICT bedrest for the last several months.

Well, just think : If the managers at the JCPenney is anything like the ones at my JCPenney, they won't have much luck using a bunch of coupons. During the $10 off coupon time, our managers keep a close eye out for people using more than one coupon because it says "One per person" and they mean during the time frame. One time, when I was working there, a manager walked up to a lady who was using a coupon and said that they said one per person, and wouldn't let her use it. She tried to say that she was only using one, but the manager said that they were sent to different people and that she watched her use one earlier in the day and she used 2 yesterday. The lady was slightly embarrased, and put her item away and left.

But........

Gripe for the day..... Don't have one - it's too early.

I do agree with not getting anything done while the husband is home. On DH's days off the dishes stack up in the kitchen, the laundry needs to be done, and the house gets dirty. I am also a SAHM, so I do most of my cleaning and things in the morning, as DH gets home at 1pm.

I like when my husband is off from work we go out and do something or he help's me clean the house I guess the only gripe there is he's not making any money from being off of work.

My gripe is when a cashier doesn't know how to take coupons and you have to stand there and wait till she figures it out or you have to help her do her job.

I love having mine home as well but I do admit , I get absolutely nothing done. Most of the time when he is off for a few days we go away then I don't have to worry about getting nothing done cause Im not home to do it. Plus he is mine all mine for those fews days. Not oh this problem at work or on the phone with this person cause someone has a quick question about this or that.

My gripe today: Grocery prices. I just went shopping and feel like I got nothing for my paycheck almost feels like a waste to spend all that money for something that lasts just a few days.

My gripe for the day:
My brother wants nothing to do with the family this year.He won't even talk to me on the phone. Finally had my bf call him (they are buddies) cause nobody had heard from in a long time and I was worried about him.He will only talk to my bf. He won't talk to me.He told bf he doesn't want to be bothered by the family, which is fine, but the fact that he would not even talk to me kinda hurts cause I always thought we were close. I'm even more worried now but I'm glad hes at least ok.
