I agree. I'd spend the money on a dermatologist first. Our dermatologist said alot of those things don't work like you think they should. My Dermatologist gave my son a prescription for a cream that only costs us 10.00 a month with our prescription card and it works awesome. His skin looks great!! Jen

Only ones that work for me (I get the cystic zits... way down under the skin) and for my son (he gets whiteheads) are the creams that contain Benzoyl Peroxide as the active ingredient. I buy a generic off the shelf at the store for less than $2. Must contain Benzoyl Peroxide. My nephew's dermatologist said that it is the only active ingredient that works. |

We've spent a fortune on dermatologist bills for son w/acne, but the best thing we found for him were Mary Kay (yes, the make up folks!) products. Have now got our teen daughter using em also after trying everything from Proactive to you name it for her (and our older son) . Son is AA, daughter is Chinese, so they both tend towards keloids scars w/acne, but the MK products have done wonders for both. MZ |

THank you all for your advice. We saw the doctor. So far everything I read about this Zeno sounds good but I am not convinced yet. If anybody has tried it please let me know what you thnk. If anybody wants to see what I am talking about go to their webiste... www.myzeno.com |

Most people who have the Zeno love it For some opinions http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum...highlight=zeno There are lots of threads on it just use the search function for Zeno. These people are really honest in their opinions and most have a lot of knowledge about beauty products

Cuthie- where do yoou find generic benzoyl peroxide? All I have found is the Oxy wash and that company was just bought by Mentholatum people. The container shrunk and the price increased to $5.99. Where do you find it for $2? My poor husband is 50 and still has acne on his back. This product works- he may get one white head every couple of months.

Lyn, I found at K-Mart. It is their brand "American Fare" and says 'Maximum Strength Acne Medication' 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. It says Vanishing Gel at the bottom. It is in a tiny 1 ounce bottle that I bought over a year ago so it might be up to $3 by now, LOL. My friend found some at Walmart but in their brand; Equate? She says it worked it's magic on her son. We both have pre-teen boys. You do have to be very careful to wear something white and use white pillowcases and towels if you use this product on your face as it will bleach colored sheets and towels. All I know is the Salycic (spelling?) Acid does nothing; for me anyway!... It is the Benzoyl Peroxide that works. Hope that helps!? ![]() Sorry to get off of the Zeno subject... just think the BP might be worth a try??? |

I had Acne really bad in my 20's I used everything on the market I even had tryed something that my dermatologist had given me it's called Accutane it $200.00 a month and All it did was broke my bank account and made my face red ,than one day someone told me that proactive worked ,so low and behold I tryed it and it worked like a carm for alot less than accutane with alot less risk factors on your body,I also have alot of scaring on my face from the accutane.Hope this helps and good luck here is a link for accutane http://www.fda.gov/cder/drug/infopag...ne/default.htm I wouldn't recommend it but just in case the dermatologist does at least you would know what it does and the side effect .If I knew back than what it did to my body I would have Never taken it.The natural way is also sea kelp soap or face wash.Good luck

I had acne REALLY bad as a preteen and teen, when I was 16 I went on acutane(SP?) and it was WONDERFUL! It totally cleared up my skin. It's not $200 a month if you have insurance. With our insurance it was $17 a month and to me it was extremely worth it. It really does dry up your skin, and you can't be out in the sun. I'd recommend it to anyone!
