I went into Walmart this morning to buy a stroller. We (my 9 year old daughter and 3 year old son) went looking for a scanner to check the price and saw these people with stickers on them stating they are "Shopping for Sincerely Santa." I approached a lady and asked her where do we go to participate. We grabbed a list for a child and her sister and were given a price limit on the items. We then had free reigns to put items in a cart and Walmart paid the bill!

I was explaining to my daughter these children otherwise wouldn't have a Christmas if people didn't help fill up the carts. She was upset that we could only do one sheet at a time because she wanted her own cart to help. I let her help pick out items and help with the math and the understanding also took place that if we buy one really expensive gift that would be less for the girl to have.

When we finished my daughter had tears in her eyes and said, "Now THAT was the best Christmas Present I could have had.

I was so happy we went to the store and put off what we were doing for an hour to help. I was surprised to know that Walmart does this.

I do shop at Wal-Mart because of their low prices...although I know some people prefer to not shop there. It is good to know that Wal-Mart does this.

That is soooooo cool. I went to our walmart today and they didn't have anything like this going on. I would have loved to do this with my kids.

Wow.. your daughter got to experience something really great during the holiday season. I also have never heard of walmart doing anything like this....but all I can say is WAY TO GO WALMART......

What a sweet caring daughter, you are teaching her well!

I remember in Panama City that the Police Department each year gave volunteers money at WalMart to spend for each child on the list that they had. It was a neat thing to do and even sweeter since it was not our money.
