When I left the house it was 2.11 went shopping for 4 hours came back and it went up to 2.27

When I filled up the yesterday, it was $2.25 and that's the cheapest I have seen it. Seems like most places are about $2.33, but they will all probably be going up.

I see where you live, I travel from FWB to Jax on a weekly basis.
I always buy my gas at exit 192 off of 10. Monday night their gas was 2.17 and with my flying j card it was 2.14

It was $2.19 here yesterday morning then in a couple hours time it jumped up to $2.39! So glad I grabbed gas early..ughhh

$2.69 here in WA. I got a $.10 discount at Safeway so I ended up paying $2.59. I had 1/4 tank and filled it yesterday, and it cost me $31. I cannot understand why it costs so dang much for gas when you live on the coast!! You all have good prices!

Gas is always so much cheaper at the Flying J. Unfortunately, it's not close to where I live or work since it's on the SW side of town and I live on the NE side of town off of Thomasville Rd. The gas stations at the Thomasville Rd. exit along I-10 always seem like they are the highest in town. You must spend a fortune on gas making that drive every week!

Our state (Florida) tax is 6%. Our local (Leon County) tax is 1.5%, so that makes our total sales tax 7.5%.

State Taxes = 8.35%
City Taxes = 2%
Grand Total = 10.35%

...and our gas is $2.39 a gallon (as posted above!)

gas was $2.09 yesterday morning when I took the kids to school, within 30 minutes everyone was up to $2.29. Thankfully, I got the local Casey's before they changed the pumps and he let me fill up. I hate it when they do this huge jump, of course we should've all known it was happening with Christmas only a few days away.

Sanctuary... Yep! It is quite a challenge... and it is unbelievable that we pay this much but I am really good at online shopping (if I must say so myself *wink*). We moved here from an area where taxes were 6.35% but it was an impoverished area and so taxes really needed to be higher. We love it here and wouldn't trade but there are some tradeoffs...

I live in So. CA and the cheapest I saw it yesterday was $2.59 a gal. Who knows what today will bring.

It was 2.17 in Salt Lake City over the weekend, and when we got back here to Boise, it was 10 cents more. I don't know what it's been since, though, I haven't really been out of the house since Sunday!

I think it's $2.399 right now. So much for the lower prices we were supposed to see. It's gone back up over the past few months here. It was nice when we drove to SC......the prices were quite a bit lower down South than up here in Central PA.

Well I just filled my diesel suburban at $2.71 a gallon and last night my husband's car at $2.43 a gallon!!!

I filled up at Costco yesterday, and it was $2.39. I thought that it seemed like prices were headed back up again. Usually Costco is the cheapest place to get it at (at least around me). I'm in Southern CA. Did I miss something on the news? Why is the gas price going up again?

I live in Southern Maine and it ranges anywhere from 2.31 on up. What get's me is right across the border in New Hampshire it's anywhere between 10 to 20 cents cheaper. Doesn't pay for me to go to NH and it stinks because I fill my car up everyday! GRRRRRRR

Ours sat at $2.11 for quite a while, then within two days it jumped to $2.27. DH thought maybe it was due to the change to the winter formulation gas. It costs more because of the different additives they put in it. At least that's the case here in NJ

Yesterday afternoon the gas stations off of Interstate 84 where I am in New Jersey were $2.21. Ladystrange, we always fill up at the Alfred Gas, they were usually a good price, especially for those of us who don't know how to pump my own gas.

I think it's $2.30 here.

I remember probably almost five years ago when Wal-Mart put in their gas station. One local Sheetz was competing w/them and gas was 78 cents per gallon. Oh, how nice it would be to even pay LESS than $2 per gallon.

You have to love NJ they don't let you pump your gas...I learned when I moved to FL., which by the way gas is $2.25.

Oregon doesn't let you pump your own gas either. LOL

Went down to 1.99 here in OK, the news did a story, the first time it's been under $2.00 in over 2 years.

Ours is down to $2.43 a gal. and that is at the cheapest self serve stations in San Diego CA. If you want full serve which is very, very hard to find expect to pay a lot more.

I filled up just last night 5-04-07 and paid 2.89 a gallon. That was the CHEAPEST we found, most places were 2.92- 2.98 a gallon.

Yesterday gasoline was $3.32 a gallon and dh said that today Meijers had gasoline for $3.38 gallon!!

Some of the posts are only a few months old and LOOK at how different gas is!!

Went up to $2.99 a gallon for regular unleaded, was $2.85 yesterday. 2.73 11 days ago, so it has gone up .26 a gallon in 11 days here where we live in Oklahoma.

$2.85 is the cheapest I have seen here in the mid-atlantic zone.

Right now we are sitting at $2.83 for the cheapest.......I did hear on the radio this morning that the Texas State Government is considering getting rid of the 20 cents a gallon state tax for the summer months. Don't konw if it will actually happen, but it sure would be nice, since prices are expected to go higher..

It's $3.01 here in NY (for the moment, it'll change before the weekend gets here ), but just over the border in PA (which is only 4.1 miles from my house and we usually get our gas there) where the gas is normally 10-12 cents a gal cheaper, it's now $3.03!
