Dh and I enjoy going out to dinner. It's so nice to get through a sit down dinner without saying "stop that, sit down. will you please eat!" or hearing "mommy I have to go to the bathroom"..lol.
We sometimes just go out for coffee and walk the outdoor mall we have here or sit in the cafe and chat. We get to catch up on things that have happened without being interrupted

On the rare occasion that we go on a date, we like to go to dessert and then window shop at the mall

On our last night out- we went out to dinner, then shopping at the Christmas Tree Shop- I hardly ever get to go there.

I love to go to a steak house and have a nice dinner. Maybe some shopping afterwards , but my husband isn't always in cahoots with me.

We don't have any children, but when we do go out, it is usually for an event of some kind like birthday or anniversary. Usually we go out to eat at a steakhouse or chinese. The nicest ones are about an hour away from us, so it is nice to "get away" sometimes, lol. It gives us a chance to talk to each other, other than the regular everyday "talk".

out to eat, back home to sit by a nice fire in the wood stove and a cup of hot choc, movie on tv.

We usually go out to our favorite tapas restaurant that we have been patronizing for the last 2+ yrs. We always have the same waitress and the owners are usually there, and it's usually just a great night w/ awesome food and good social interaction. There are a lot of regular ppl that go there, so lots of times we just end up eating at the bar and chit-chatting w/ others we have met there before. It is a nice, upscale place, not a lot of kids, and a perfect restaurant to just have a great time. We usually go there twice a month or so.

dinner at a hibachi grill or a fondue restaurant and then we like to go have drinks at a place with an outdoor area so we can "people watch". We get a date night at least 2 times a month and wish it were more.

Proud to say I haven't shopped at a Wal-Mart since Sept 2003

The last time we had a "date night" was on September 6, our 10th anniversary. We haven't been out alone since then. We've gone twice w/just Naysa while the two older kids were at church functions. We don't exactly have people beating down the door to watch our kids.

We usually just go out to eat and then come home and watch a movie or find something else to do.

We usually either go out for a nice dinner, then home to watch a movie OR we go to the Movie Tavern. It's a theater that actually serves really great food and has a bar. We will get there early and have a drink at the bar, then order our dinner and eat while we kick back in very comfy chairs and watch the movie. I love doing that!
