Well, my dh isn't having a merry Christmas...

Hi,

Dh started feeling a bit queezy as we went to his grandparents to have Christmas (they do theirs on Christmas eve). He ended up being so sick by the end of the night. He can't even keep water down. He is never ever sick= and I feel so bad for him. I hope he is better by in the morning.

Anyone else having illnesses. I hope not.

Have a happy holiday everyone!

I hope he feels better in the morning.. If you can find some ginger ale that may help but I'm sure everything is closed tonight. or you can try flat sprite..maybe little bites of crackers will help him too.

Dh is strong as a Ox..He hardly ever gets sick..Acouple months ago he came down with food poison after we had breakfast at a local restaurant.. He threw up for over 24 hours....He vomit so much he lost his voice for 5 days..The only thing that he could hold down was Ginger Ale..He had take little sips otherwise it was back to the bathroom.

When I was a kid, My dad took us sled riding Christmas eve and I hit a huge boulder sled riding down the hill and broke my arm. I ruined everybodys Christmas and spent Christmas in the hospital in pain.I did get some cool Christmas presents from the staff at the hospital though.
Well, off to moms for the big ham dinner.YUMMY!

Hope everybody that is sick gets to feeling well again soon.

Hope he feels better! It is awful for that to happen.

My brother came over last night and wouldn't EAT ANYTHING. We had to eat in front of him poor guy. He has been having gall bladder stone attacks (I think that is what it is rather than kidney stones...) and does not want to have to go to emergency room on a holiday so he refuses to eat anything thinking he will not get another attack that way! We even ate these chocolate covered apples from wegemens and I felt soooo bad.... his wife brought them over so how could I not... right?

I feel greatful for good health.

My 2 kids started throwing up at 10:00pm on the 23rd. My dd just did once and my 7yr old ds was up till 2:00 with it. He's such a trooper and doesn't complain at all, just hits the bowl every time and goes on. They both had diarreah and hers stopped and she was able to go to christmas eve and todays dinner with dh's family. My son's has continued, may need some more pedialite... Last year both kids missed christmas day with the same thing, weird, they usually are very healthy, maybe next year will be better.

Thank you for all the well wishes. He was up this morning & opened presents w/ my family- but has been asleep since. I went to his other side of the family party a little while ago, and he is supposed to go watch the cowboy game at his mom's- we will see if he gets up.

He is NEVER sick... poor guy. Tomorrow is my birthday & we are supposed to go out shopping and such (his fav to do) so hopefully he is up to it.

Sounds just like what we got 2 weeks ago- it was awful and I just kept thinking at least it happened before Christmas. Hope he feels better, and that you manage to avoid it!!! You deserve to enjoy this vacation!

Not good!! I'm fighting a TERRIBLE toothache! My fault as I should have been to the dentist weeks ago, but I was hoping to put it off until the beginning of the year. The past few days the pain has been getting worse. I spent 2 hours this afternoon curled up in a little ball in pain! I can handle a lot of pain, but this felt worse than childbirth! Right now I'm doing okay, but I know the horrible pain is going to come back and I don't like it! Advil, Motrin and Orajel wasn't working before, I think they all kicked in at the same time.

Sounds like the norovirus that's been going around. It's the one that hits the cruise ships. I had it a couple of weeks ago and it put me down for 3 days.

Not a good time to get it. Hope he's feeling better and you can avoid getting it.

I think I have a really bad sinus infection or upper respiratory infection, started earlier this week but didn't get really bad until I woke up yesterday, I couldn't breathe through my nose at all, really tired. Slept alot today in between opening gifts and fixing dinner, but can at least breathe through my nose (can't smell anything though), my ribs hurt from coughing, but my sore throat is gone. Taking Benadryl and ibuprofen and hoping I don't have to go to the doctor tomorrow.

Twinsforme99 Tell your brother it's ok to eat, just to eat no fatty foods. I had my gall bladder taken out after my last child was born and the attacks are terribly painful, worse than child birth for me. The doctor told me the attacks caused by eating fatty foods and sure enough, I cut back to less then 10 grams of fat a day (until my surgery 2 weeks later) and didn't have any attacks at all. So basically you can eat lean meat, veggies, fruit, cereal with lowfat milk, rice, there's alot of food you can eat, but you cannot eat normally, you cannot use alot of butter, cheeses, no fried foods or that type stuff. You really have to be careful with the fat content, but it is ok to eat.

I'm so sorry he's feeling badly! I'm sure the Cowboys game didn't improve his outlook. We were very disappointed - my DH wouldn't even watch the last 5 minutes because he was so upset. It was awful! Hopefully he is feeling better.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
