Anyone have New Year's Eve Plans?

We don't have any plans yet. I suspect we will take the kids out to a near-by restaurant, come home and watch the neighbors shoot off fireworks as well as see Dick Clark ring in the New Year.

What are your plans?

DH and I are going out. It's my one day a year to get drunk. One drink and I'm a gonner! LOL He does the driving so I'm not too worried. It's the others who drink and drive that scare me.

We usually have a fun family game night with all of the games that we get for Christmas. Eating out sounds like a great idea at this point! I'm worn out from all the cooking that I've been doing...

We live in the Southwest and usually make it until 10:00 pm which is when the ball drops in New York City on TV (time difference!) and then we to go bed.

A close friend and her husband are having a big New Year's Eve bash at their house with a roast pig, bondfire, and about 50 guests. They are both under thirty, and it will be a younger crowd, but they are always so much fun to be around. Everyone is going to "camp out" afterwards so that no one is driving home. It will be a nice change. We've gone into the city for the past several New Year's Eves, so this should be fun!

We're hanging out with the neighbors - about 4 other couples on our street. The kids will play, we'll play board games, and no one has to drive.

I've been going to my parents house for as long as I can remember. It's like another Christmas. We see my aunts and uncles and they have about 75 people every year and we could always crash there if we drink too much. The kids play with thier cousins, the women seem to gather in the kitchen and the men by the bar and pool table. I look forward to it every year

DH will be back to traveling for work so a GF of mine and I are going to sleep on a curb in Pasadena. I haven't done that in exactly 10 years so I'm really looking forward to it!

We will spend a nice, quiet evening at home watching movies and eating snacks.

I wish!

We were invited to a neighbors house. We just aren't much for going out anywhere, we have to find a baby sitter and we don't really know the people that well. We just moved to this street less than a year ago and the other people are really nice, but all older and have tons of money, no kids. The party we are invited to is pretty big from what I hear and we have to get all dressed up, it's catered and everything.

It is a great chance to meet everyone, but I would really be more comfortable in my sweats watching tv.
