Ideas for party favors for 8-9 year old boys

Hi, I am racking my brains for boys for return presents which they will and I won't break my budget (about $3 per kid). What kind of things would they like which they won't consider 'junk'?

I am planning to visit discount stores like Big Lots, Tuesday Morning etc and see ideas. Your ideas would be greatly appreciated!! TIA

At that age, my boys liked - and still like - what I call "icky" candy...blow pops, sour patch kids, nerds, etc and would get a kick out of super balls, hackey sacks, whistles, whooppee cushions, etc as goody bag treats.

My son is 10 and he and his friends love those stretchy ball things you can find at the dollar store...here's a picture of what I'm talking about below...At this age, they also love Naruto cards (it's a show on TV that is very popular with that age group)...You can find them in Wal-Mart at $3.xx a pack...The candy the poster above mentioned is also a great idea...They love icky, gooey stuff at this age! ~Lisa

If you have a Garden Ridge you can find the thing that CaddyLisa is talking about. ALSO, at Party City they have thes ebead filled sticky animals. They are really neat. If you throw them on the ceiling they will stay there forever. They are fun to squeeze as well.

Right now they have the Hovercraft things at the Dollar Tree and we purchased these for a classroom Christmas party of third graders and they loved them...
