Finally got my pictures uploaded...

Anyone want to see how my Darling Husband fooled me this year on what I was getting for Christmas? ---
You all remember I admitted I peek....

Well, this year he did so good I was TOTALLY surprised! Didn't see that one coming!

First you have to see the box it came in...
Take a look at the tree in the family room... (It's the kids tree with all their ornaments on it)
But look in the picture and see if you see the HUGE box sitting on the left side of the tree with the gold bow (husband's first attempt at making a bow!).

Well on Christmas Eve, He presented the gift to me and,
I opened the really big box
and inside there was another box
and inside that there was another wrapped box
and then another, and one more.....

then inside the last one was a gift sack with a little white box inside it...

ooooohhhhhhh

Here's what was inside!

a bracelet to match the ring he'd given me for my birthday this past fall....

Good job!
I was totally not expecting that!---He'd given me a new digital camera as an "early" Christmas gift back around Thanksgiving (so I could get family pictures then too) ---

Anyway, All this to say... I love the bracelet but in the scope of things, it still didn't end up being my Favorite Gift of all....
That honor goes to the Christmas Doilie his 90+ year old Grandmother crocheted for us. I spread it out on the bed so I could get a picture of it... took her two weeks to make each circle and to me it's PRICELESS!----

A very good Christmas indeed!

Anybody else have pictures to share?
X

How nice!
But, two weeks only to make that huge doily? You should sell them for her on ebay!

I'm sorry... yes, I was typing too fast... I meant to type it took her two weeks to make each circle....

Sorry.... She's getting so up in age it took her a ~long~ time to make... That's what amazed me.. is that she lovingly took that much time to craft something so special for us!
I need to go edit it to read right...
Thanks Paulette!

Oh X that bracelet is gorgeous, such good taste he has. But that doily, unbelievable! I crochet, so I know what went into it. It looks lovely on your bed too!

What a great Christmas for you. That doily is something you can hand down for generations and tell the story of how it was made for YOU.

I hope you enjoy your gift! It is beautiful!!

His Grandmother's gift is and always will be priceless. You will have years of Christmas memories.
When you think of all those hours of love she put in to it.
Enjoy!
