As far as the more inexpensive (cheap?) perfumes go, what ones do you like?

DH got me the Desperate Housewives Forbidden Fruit perfume from Macy's. It smells ok, but I'm not crazy about it...especially since I see he spent over $50 for it! I see that alot of the "cheaper" perfumes are on sale now at CVS, Walgreens, Target, etc. If any of you recommend some, I'd like to get them while they are marked down! Some I've never tried such as Tabu, Jontue, Emeraude, Charlie White, etc. Is there any that you just love that are worth getting? I used to use Chantilly when I was younger and loved it. Thanks! ~Lisa

At the risk of embarassing myself, my favorite "cheap" perfume is Alyssa Ashley or Jovan musk . I also like Lucky You.
Wear CK Sheer Obsession normally though.

My favorite inexpensive perfumes are the ones from Bath and Body works. They run about $18 a bottle but several times a year they have some kind of deal on them. They just had on black friday a get one free with $25 purchase. My favorites are the warm vanilla sugar and the sensual amber. My sister got a magnolia one that smelled good too

I used to wear chantilly as well. I like Liz Clairborne (the triangle one) and I've seen it at Walgreens before. I wear a bbw spray of jamine vanilla normally. It's not a perfume though...just a body spray

I like Lady Stetson. It is long lasting and I've worn it for years! I also wear "Skin" musk.
Try Cachet, it was a favorite of mine in HIGH school--1979!! and I still love it!
All of these are at Walgreens... They are good for everyday wear and I save the good stuff
(Estee Lauder Pleasures and Beautiful) for special occasions!

Whew! I'm glad somebody asked about nice, *cheap* perfumes. I wanted to chime in on the other perfume thread, but I thought everybody would laugh at me.

I use Timeless by Avon. People frequently tell me that I smell good... (as opposed to??? LOL), or they ask what I'm wearing. I'm always a little embarassed to tell them....uh, I paid like $10 for this....

Ever year around Christmas, I always buy myself a bottle of Love's baby soft. My favorite Aunt use to always buy me this. She has been gone almost 20 years, but every time I smell that perfume I think about her. Peggy

I have found that in the less expensive type colognes that I prefer the powders and lotions better than the actual colognes. One of my favorite scents is Exclamation.

I like Avon's Haiku - I get more compliments on this perfume than my most expensive ones! I also like Chloe - they carry that at drugstores now. Charlie is a classic, too. Sunflowers is nice too.
Another poster mentioned the great deals you can get at B&BW on theirs and they have such a range of floral, musky to clean scent perfumes that there is something there for everyones scent buds!

Smile Cheap Perfumes

I usually just mix my own
with body safe fragrance oils and Cyclomethicone
Many candle supply sites have lots of the name brand scents that are body safe

Ditto on Skin but I only wear the oil variety. I have worn it for 30 years!!! LOL It is still under $10 a bottle. I don't feel like "me" if I forget to put it on in the morning! The funny part is --- I have had men come up to me and ask what I am wearing--- and I am an old bubba not some young, slinky thing.

I like Paul Sebastian's Design - inexpensive at store like Perfumania...maybe $20 or $25?

I frequently spray/sample Department store fragrances, then go to Ross Dress For Less, Marshalls and TJMaxx to purchase them for much less. Can't say I've ever spent over $19.99 for a bottle there.

I have always liked Avon's Sweet Honesty...that brings me back to my childhood and all the cute decanters they had for that stuff.

As an inexpensive perfume, I like Celine Dion. It is feminine and smells like a womans perfume (according to my DH). I also have Curve Crush, Curve, and a few others from Yves Rocher.

When I was young and in High School I always wore Jovan Musk or Lady Stetson. When I started working and making some "money" I moved up to the Dept store perfumes. A few weeks ago when I was out shopping, a lady was in front of me in the check out line and smelled SO good. I commented to her and she said it was Jovan Musk. I must of really missed the smell, cause I said something to DH about it and he got it for me for Xmas!! The only thing is that the "drugstore" brands wear off much faster.
