A month til you go back? That's still a long time!! Enjoy yourself and everyday that you do have off. That way when you go back - you will appreciate it that much more! I've been off 1 year - as of January 20th. I know how you feel about going back to work. I have enjoyed being off, and really am not that excited about going back to work. But, it will be nice to to go back and socialize with people again! |

Yeah I wish I could find something to do at home that would earn what I do going to work but there is no way. Even doing ebay and such I would still have a huge gap. I am lucky too that I can collect unemployment while I am out. Though I dont make nearly as much on unemployment still covers the bills and is better than no pay. But I also save all year knowing I am out 2 months so I have my stash to draw off of. Thanks for listening to me whine |

Oh I feel your pain!!! I had a hysterectomy in November, been off work 7 weeks today, and I have to return to work on Monday. I am so not looking forward to it. After spending 16 years at home before, the past three years have not been fun, working full time as a single mom of two teens. I have really enjoyed my time off and am not looking forward to returning to work at all.

I've been home for ... 8 years now, was waiting til my daughter started school so I could either go to school myself or get a job.. the got pregnant So... waiting til the baby's a year old to go back to school, I can't wait to get out of the house and do ME stuff even if it's working but I KNOW I'm going to have many many days I want to quit and stay home... I've had occasional jobs to get out of the house in the past and my husband would convince me to quit, probably because I found something or someone to complain about Anyway... have you tried any kind of cooking ahead? I think that will make life way easier when I'm coming home in the evening and have to scramble to put a meal together, just open the freezer and pull out the homemade mashed potatoes, for example... Not so much OAMC (casserole city?) but pre-cooking lots of things that can be cooked a variety of ways. Might not be the most relaxing way to spend your time off... I'm also hoping being home less means the kids make less messes but I'm probably just dreaming there... |
