We pay $5100 for my daughter...it's a private Catholic school, thank God she's a senior-this tuition is killing me since I'm out of work. It's the best school in the area and no way in hell would I ever send my
baby girl to the scummy public school again.

That sounds about right.. My nephew graduated from Roger Bacon and that is in the approximate range I think I heard sis discussing.

When we first moved here I was debating on sending my kids to a private school. The prices varied from 600 to 800 per kid. My kids cringed at the ideal of going to a private school.they convinced me to let them try the highschool out first. My main concern was the violence. My dh commutes 30 min to work so we can live in a nice small communtiy & the kids can attend a better school...

I went to a private school 7th to 8th grade. I was so far behind it was pitful I failed the first year. My father gave me the choice after I finished I could attend a private highschool which was in the next city and possable graduate early I ended up choosing the public school.Let me tell when I re-entered the public school I was so far advanced it felt like I was doing 3rd grade work..lol Going to a private school was the best thing for me. The teachers had more time to spend with you and work one on one..There was only 22 kids per grade..I wished I could of put my kids in a private school from the get go but when dh was in the military we just couldn't afford it.

Thank goodness my daughter goes to pulic school....we couldn't afford to save money for her college education if we had to pay a tuition for her to go to a private High School.

Okay you thought that I paid too much for a haircut, $20k, and that is middle school!! Now you will all feel better about your tution. Believe it or not that is the going rate in my area for private middle and high school. I don't know how people send several children to these schools.

Actually my dh works at the school so it is alot less.

My DS is a junior this year and his tuition is 3600.00 a year at the Catholic High school here. My kids have all been at Catholic schools from the get go. The grade school tuition is 2400.00 for 2 kids in grade school. I don't think thats bad at all.

The going rate for Catholic High School in my area is from $8,000 to $15,000. If you have more than one kid, they in some cases give you a break. Each school has scholarships and the Archdiocese has financial aid. I got both for my kids. My ds got a scholarship to an expensive private college (I did not pay anything.). It was because of the high school he attended I live in the Washington DC area. My kids went to St. John's College High. Georgetown Prep is one of the highest but it has a long history.

$13,165 for Middle School in Georgia.
My daughter is happy here and she has a good group of friends. There is never a morning when she gets up and says she is "sick" (I was the queen of that).
Her old school was $10,175 and that did not include the mandatory violin lessons.
