Lightbulb Need Ideas....please

Ok, I am a stay at home mom wif lots of financial responsibility. BUT I need to save At Least $3000 as soon as I can. I already sell on ebay to keep our head above float on the normal expenditures, like phone bill, doc bills, etc. I trade coupons/forms etc to get the bargains that I need at grocery stores, etc. And I trade excess forms/coupons for a lil' paypal. I do housecleaning for extra cash, I do other chores around my area. I can't afford a part time nor full time job due to the financial burden of paying a sitter. It would literally take all that I would make and then some. So, that is not a real option at this point. So, here's where my need of idea's come in. Where or How can I make extra money to put towards my savings goal? Any idea's?? I mean, I know I can do yard sales/stockpile sales in the spring summer months, I can and will continue on wif eBay as I have to, but what else can I do? any suggestions would be appreciated.

Edited to add: that I already leave as frugally as possible. No extra's like cable, phone lines, subscriptions, etc. No eating out. I go the cheapest route whenever possible no matter what. I do all my errands in one trip to save gas. I don't have a car payment as it is paid for. I have the cheapest ins to be found on home/auto. I am telling u, I am prolly one of the most frugal people u'll meet.

I also do some surveys, I do the AC Neilson, and those are about the only 2 things that I have found to legitimately work out.

Have you ever tried picking up recyclables and turning them in for cash ? bottles, cans, scrap metal, etc..
How about getting a booth at a flea market for a few weekends to sell some stockpile ?
I also know someone who helps people/businesses organize. In addition to her fee she gets to keep their throw aways which she then sells for extra cash.
And if you're desperate..... there are places that will buy your plasma, eggs, etc.....

Great, Keep'em Coming

There are some things that I had not thought about!

As for babysitting, we live in a very small area, most businesses/factories have shut down, so that would be very difficult to do. But that was a great suggestion.

I dont know why that I didn't think about the recycling, etc. Gonna check into that!

As for the plasma and eggs, where would u go about looking for that info? I mean, I know where u do the plasma, but wht's the technical term or proper way to look for "egg" places?

We dont even have a flea market in our area, so that's not gonna work either.

I appreciate the suggestions and would love to hear more! By the way, I think I am in love with this place already. hehe. Yall are so great!

Being an egg doner means donating your eggs to women who are not able to become pregnant using their own eggs. It is not as easy as giving blood, however. You would look to a reproductive ednocrinologist in your area, or a fertility clinic. At my RE office they pay $3000. It involves about three weeks of giving yourself hormone injections once or twice a day in the thigh and then in the stomach and then going under general anesthesia. The doctor uses a thin needle and inserts it into each follicle which contains a healthy egg and extracts it. You are usually on bed rest afterwards for a day or two. Of course there are medical exams and work ups done before hand. Take it from someone who has done it (to gather my own eggs for implantation) injecting yourself with hormones is not fun and the effects are not fun on those around you. But I would not discourage anyone from being an egg doner, you are giving someone else a wonderful gift.

Sounds like your doing just about everything possible, one thing I can think of is getting some kind of job that you can take your kids. maybe part time at a day care? etc.

I was thinking paper route also. They just drive the routes now, and they work in the wee hours of the a.m. It would be hard work, but I think it pays ok.
