I have dry reddness located on my eyebrows..it itches and the skin flakes off ...it's a form of dandruff. It can occur on your eyelids too. I would have it check out to be safe

My suggestion: get it looked at by a good dermatologist. My husband has psoriasis and before we got an accurate diagnosis, we were told he had seborrheic dermatitis and lupus. DH has struggled with psoriasis since mid 20's. I think it appears out of nowhere in your 20's or 30's. It can spread, and there's not much you can do about it. The more worrisome part is that a good percentage of people with psoriasis also get psoriatic arthritis. It is degenerative and very bad news. It is experienced mostly in the hands and feet, and some other joints like the hips. He is 31 and they estimate that within 20 years (51), he will have lost a lot of mobility. Psoriasis is an inflammation disorder and while there are no medicines to cure it, diet can assist - there is lots of research online and in medical journals showing where 1 tsp of turmeric per day can get rid of psoriasis patches. Sounds simple enough, but my husband ate turmeric once and said it's disgusting, so he continues to put hydrocortisone (steroids!) all over his body, multiple times per day. Can you believe this: we recently applied for health insurance and were DENIED, because we said that he has psoriasis! Other than his psoriasis, we're both healthy, thin, young and they surely would have MADE money off of us. But they said we were denied because of the psoriasis. Good luck! |

it sounds like an allergy to nail polish. I had the same symptons when I was in high school and I went to the Dr and he told me to stop wearing nail polish. I did and my eyes cleared up! My DH and DS both have psoriasis and it really sounds more like a nail polish allergy. You touch your eyes many times during the day without realizing it.

Are you using Nasalcrom, or anything like it ? It gives my an itchy rash on my eyelids. If it doesn't go away soon. You really need to see a dermatologist, you don't want it to get worse, and there's always a chance that it could be skin cancer. |
