Question Most comfortable shoes?

My friend & I are on a search for the most comfortable shoes out there. At first she swore by her CROCS. After a couple shopping trips out she decided they're not as comfortable as she thought. I've bought several pair with all them eventually hurting my feet. Long shopping trips are a killer! Wondering which shoes you think are the MOST comfortable?

I like Skechers. I'm on my feet 8 or more hours in a retail environment and they are the only ones that don't kill my feet.

If you have to wear dress/work type shoes, I like Aerosoles. For flip flops, I like Reefs.

Reefs are awesome. I've been wearing a small pair of plain men's ones for a few years, but the women's Slap ones are so comfy I wear them like slippers. Some Aerosoles are good, and some are awful. I have a pair of cowboy type boots I love, but need to replace, as they're vinyl and falling apart. In general, that's a comfortable style.

As far walking shoes I wear Reebok's DMX--I have trouble with my knees and the shoe helps absord the shock from walking.

Love my Birkenstocks but I only have the sandals. I don't personally like the clogs. I've been out of work since May so I live in my New Balance sneakers.

I was going to say Birkenstocks, Merrell or Mephisto for casual styles. For more dressy styles, I think Munro, Clarks & Born are super comfy. HTH. Good-Luck! :O)

I'm a teacher, so I wear casual/dressy shoes and am on my feet all day. I really like Liz Claiborne Flex shoes, and have gotten several brand new pairs on ebay for great prices.

I am on my feet 8 hours a day and walking most of that time. I am overweight and have bad knees and hips. I have had a lot of problems finding something that didn't break down within a month or start paining me somewhere. After trial and error I have started wearing Keen shoes. The company started making water sandels and branched into many other styles. I wear the Bronx style which is an urban hiker. They are ugly as all get out, so if you are looking for fashion, fuggitaboutit. But after six months of wearing these shoes for work I am still very happy with them.

I've been working in hospitals for 15 years and the ONLY shoes I can wear are Nike!!!! ANything else and my feet and back hurt. These are the only tennis shoes I buy. I've heard there are some dress shoes made by the same company as Nike, but I can't remember the name of them. They had them on Oprah a while back.

As odd as they sound the only things that don't kill me are men's hiking boots. I have had seven knee surgeries so style is no longer an issue. Most everything else kills my knee. Ladies hiking boots are more for fashion, mens are for support.

I never get comfy shoes, but my mom always buys naturalizers and she always says that the height of the heel matters too, so this may be something that you want to check out too.

I had bunion surgery last year and I still have no feeling in my toe joint and can't flex and a little swelling left. So basically I took a not so pretty foot and turned it into a not so pretty foot with pain and discomfort....anywho. I work in retail and I am on my feet constantly. my favorite shoes - the most comfortable ever!!! are Ariat fat baby boots. My second choice are Clarks, and my new favorite are Liz Claiborne Flex (which I recently found 2 styles at The Shoe Factory - in the mall) But hands down before and after my surgery the Ariat boots are comfy from day one and don't rub blisters or anything I even bought a new pair right before surgery and only wore one of the for the 6 weeks I was in a "boot - medical" and then started wearing the other one and I couldn't even tell a difference. Now my foot Dr recommends a type of shoes from these people http://www.spirafootwear.com/ the ones with springs....for people who are on their feet. I never bought any but his nurse says they are great for the knee and back pain....

I think those are Cole Haan's. I know that I have bought a few pairs of Cole Haan sandals and 1 pair of more dressier shoes, that have the same air sole - made by Nike. I forgot about those! Those are super comfy and quite stylish!

I agree, these are so comfortable. But the one pair I did buy, the strap broke the second time I wore them. I was not impressed, but they were surely comfy when they were all together!

I used to sell women's shoes at Dillard's, so I got to try on all different kinds. The most comfortable brands to me were: Ecco, Merrill and Mephisto (Clarke's are pretty good too). Unfortunately, I can't really afford most of them, so I get by with whatever I can. I really prefer a shoe with a rubber sole though. Nickels Soft are really good dress shoes with rubber soles. As far as tennis shoes go, I love my Asics (wish I could wear my tennies all the time).

It really does depend on your foot though. I know several popular brands that I just cannot wear because they just never fit my foot right - Nine West is one of them.

Dansko clogs, both the professional & Sonja styles are most comfy for me. For lots of walking trips, I wear Nike Shox.

i am not usre i can post here yet as i just emailed my agreement, but i have to wear police uniform shoes and they have to be black. they are really not comfortable but i dont really have a choice. i did by some of those plastic shoes (crocks?) crocs, they are ok, but was not worth 15.00 and i dont like walking on my heal in them but they are ok, can not wear them to work. i like the shoes from the above link spriafootware, but i bet they would really cost a lot. i have lost over 100 pounds, (size 8 now) and i thought that would make a great difference, it did make some, but i was on my feet recently for 10 hours and thought i was going to die my feet were aking so much, i have really injoyed this forum, i prefer to be barefoot indoors. i am going to look at these shoes everyone has mentioned... maybe they come in black and i could get away with it. we can get away with some black tennis shoes, so i will check nike, etc. thanks for the forum....neat site, as always... you can find anything on the internet... and ebay cheaper...

Nike or Nursemate Pamela. They look just like gym shoes and are the most comfortable shoes I own.

I have extra wide feet so I have found that I have to pay a bit extra for comfy shoes but it is well worth the money!
I love Clark's and Walking Cradles. I have had luck with some Hush Puppies and Naturalizer in the past, too.

I don't like the Crocs mules but I do like Croc's flip flops. They are very comfy!

I love my Clarks, and I love my Borns, and I have LOTS of pairs of each, much to Dh's dismay. But the BEST, BEST, BESt shoe would be my ColeHann/Nike shoes. OMG~ they are so comfy-they are Cole Hann shoes that have the Nike wear-they look so hot and you can wear these shoes all day long while still loving your feet. I am cheap and I hate paying a lot for anything, but these shoes look so hot and they feel soooo good!!

absolutely the best, most comfortable shoe I have ever owned!
Thanks to my Mom who bought them for my birthday and had them shipped to me!http://www.propetusa.com/wwashnwearsliponnew.htm

These come in regular width, wide width and double wide width.

I have wide feet and absolutely LOVE these shoes!

They run anywhere from $55 and less.

I am a Skechers lover too...I work 10-12 hour shifts, and these keep my feet happy all night long. One thing I have found important to keeping my feet happy is to rotate shoes--I have at least two pairs to alternate. I read somewhere ages ago that shoes need time to "recover" their bounce after being worn all day, and it also allows them to properly dry out on the inside if you don't wear the same ones every day.

I am a walker and I had a terrible time finding good walking shoes, I tryed Nike air, easyspirit,Sketchers and New Balance.........nothing gave me the comfort and support I needed. A friend of my cousin's is a runner and she had been thru the same thing and her trainer suggested Saucony...They are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever had....Mine are the hurricane 7...If you shop around you can get them pretty reasonable...http://www.onlineshoes.com/landing.a...=&term=saucony

Merrill shoes are wonderful but pricey (worth every penney though!). I used to have foot problems until I started wearing these. They are so well made and last forever! I've tried everything out there too. I forget I'm wearing shoes when I have them on.

Same here, Reebok's DMX for sports shoes.....they have more cushion than the Easy Spirit (which my girlfriend swears by) Now for a comfy pair of heels, Easy Spirit.

My UGG boots are the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. You don't wear socks with them and your feet feel like they are being cradled by softness. It is almost like wearing a pair of really comfortable slippers with good arch support all day.

I want to try the Cole Haan shoes and boots but I looked online and they are very expensive.

On the more affordable side I have owned tons of pairs of Skechers shoes, sandals, boots and athletic shoes throughout the last few years and they are usually very comfortable and stylish.
