| Anyone else a COLTS fan?
I am SO excited! Colts won tonight! One more win and SUPERBOWL here we come! We were at last week's game in Indy where they stomped out KC. Anyone else a Colt's fan, like me, and hopeful they will be in the Superbowl? |

I am a Saint's fan, but I love the Mannings! Payton is awesome, and he's a great guy! His family is devoted to New Orleans, and they have all done so much to help the city. I watch the Colts and New York because of the Manning quarterbacks!!! My students have written to Payton in the past, and he always sends an autographed picture and a nice note. I won't say "GO COLTS," but I'll say, "GO PAYTON!" :-) Good luck, y'all.

I am glad that the Colts pulled forward and beat the Ravens. (I do not like that team) I am happy that Payton got a step closer. I am a Bears fan so I have to stop rooting for them if they meet though.

We're Colts fans!! Dh got dd a pink Manning jersey last year and both of us a pink colts hat, so we get decked out in our gear and watch all the games. Dd is so cute cheering for Peyton. We saw Tony Dungy about a year and half ago at Chick-fil-a, he was there with his family and my dd played with his 2 youngest children! Dd also won a Tony Dungy autographed football last summer too! We were at a Christian Expo at the fairgrounds, walking around the exhibition hall and she saw the football and said she wanted it. I explained how it was a drawing and she could put her name in and maybe she'd win it. A few days later I get an email and sure enough, she won it! She was so excited! We haven't been to a game this year, but have faithfully been watching them every week. GO COLTS!!!!! Jenn |

Aren't Colts fans absolutely amazing? I travel for business, and my ventures led me to Indianapolis a couple of years back. I would stay downtown when I traveled there usually twice a month (love the Hilton) and would stay sometimes a week at a time. I fell in love with Indy. It has to be my favorite city in the USA. The town is clean, the people are so friendly and I honestly can go there at any time of the year and always find something going on! I love the canal, Nicky Blaines and the carriage rides late at night. I dig the Shrimp Cocktail at St Elmo's and the Margaritas at the Ram. Anyway..... Last year, we went to a Colts game (Played against the Texans!). I was not so much a football fan, let alone a Colts fan. But I loved Indy and loved ANYTHING that had to do with Indy! After the game, I realized how much devotion the fans had for their team and how much devotion the players have for their fans! It was an amazing combination, and I became an instant fan. Since then, I can honestly say, I love my Colts, I love Indy, and I LOVE the enthusiasm the fans show for their team!!! What a great time! |

The Colts and the Colts' fans are the best!! We live in Indy and I truly don't want to ever move. I use to think I wanted to move back to the country. I grew up southwest of Bloomington, IN about 1 1/2 hours south of Indy in the country. I absolutely love it down there, but now that I've been in the city 14 years, I don't think I could go back to living in the country all the time. My family still lives down there and we have a ton of farmland there but I don't think I could go back and live full time there anymore. There is so much to do here and everything is so convenient. We live in the best location on the northside right by 465, anything we want to do is 1/2 hour or less from us. The fans are great and very devoted to our team. My neighbor is one of the over-the-top obsessed fans. She even has the great big blow up Colts football player in her yard! The players and coach do a lot for the community as well. Coach Dungy is such a good role model. They live in our school district and I've heard he's very active in his kid's school activities and helps out and donates a lot of time. We homeschool, so I'm not real up on the school happenings, but that's what I've heard from others. He seemed very nice when we saw him at Chick-fil-a. I didn't approach him, I don't believe in bothering celebrities when they are out and about. Nobody bothered him, it was pretty cool, he was just there eating with his family and his kids played in the playground area just like a normal family. My dd played with his kids and he said Hi! to her when he went to tell them it was about time to leave. Downtown Indy is wonderful now, the city put a lot of effort into rebuilding it to what it is today. When I first moved here, there wasn't a whole lot except the zoo and a few museums, but now they have really turned it around. I love the carriages rides too! We go for our anniversary every year and have dinner at the Eagle's Nest on top of the Hyatt. It's one of the rotating round restaurants, it has a great view of the city. I use to work in the Hyatt, 12th floor, wonderful view from my window right across from the Indiana Repatory Theatre. I loved working downtown, so many different places to go for lunch, I never got bored. Ahh, the memories! I only quit to stay home with dd, otherwise I would be there still, best job I ever had besides being a SAHM of course! You should try out an Indians game sometime. The baseball field is awesome, I don't even like baseball, but I enjoy going just for the ambiance. The Colts players hang out up here sometimes at Champs on the northside and my dh runs into them sometimes. He's not like me, he'll just start up a conversation with them and next thing you know, he's buying them a round of drinks! I'm like, honey, shouldn't it be the other way around? I think Peyton could afford to buy a lot more rounds of drinks than we can!! But that's how he is, gotta love him! Anyway, glad to hear you love our city. I have to agree Indy's the best city in the USA! Go COLTS!!! Jenn |
