Movie suggestion for girls sleepover....

Can you suggest any good movies for a girls sleepover? The girls ages range from 10-12. I can't think of any appropriate movies and ones that they haven't seen a hundred times!

My ten year old is really into slap-stick type humor. We've just started letting her watch some that we wouldn't have before...some of the older ones that weren't appropriate for her at the time they were out...like Dr. Doolittle, Mouse Hunt...drawing a blank right now! I'll have to ask her when she gets home from school! The Air Bud movies...she loved Because of Winn Dixie...The Parent Trap...Freaky Friday...

The list from joyx3 is a great one...my girls have outgrown the Mary kate and Ashley movies but other than that, good ones. We have High School Musical taped on our DVR which they are DYING to watch, but I wanted to preview it first. It is killing them!

I may be strange , but I loved Gone with the Wind and My Fair Lady at that age. Another one that I watched a lot (and my DS loves) is Private Eyes with Don Knotts. It's old and they may not have seen it. It's really cute and funny, but not specifically for girls.

Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2 I think the girls would love...Here is a link which offers parental screening for alot movies out there. (theater movies & new video's) Scroll all the way down and hit "No Thanks" and it will bring up the page for movie reviews.

We are rather conservative, but personally I wouldn't be too thrilled with my daughter being shown either of those at a Birthday party...I am pretty sure they are both rated PG-13 and the second one is pretty scary...my daughter just turned 10 in November.

I couldn't reminder what they were rated I was thinking more PG since it was a Disney movie.. so that is is why I put the link up to screen it .The site gives extreme detail on why a movie is rated..If there is the slightest bit of cleveage shown "It States it" and some tell you what "age level will enjoy the movie"...Before showing any movie to any kids I always read the parental reviews and get the parents permission first! Really a great site for parents to preview a movie before showing it to their kids!

Some that I do not see listed are:

Pollyanna
Parent Trap (old one is good too!)

I like any of the old ones with the actress Hayley Mills are good for that age and they love them! They also seem to get into the old Shirley Temple movies.

I don't have young children anymore so bear with me if these are not as age appropriate as you would like. These are just some of my all time favorite kid movies.

Garfield the movie
Stuart Little
Lady and the Tramp
Shrek 1 and 2
Wizard of Oz always a classic
Charlottes Web- one of my favorites
Home alone 1 and 2
Herby
The Tim Allen movie where he turns into a dog- sorry don't remember the name.

Thats all I can think of at the moment \

At a recent party my daughter and her friends loved watching Curious George. It is a great movie and there is no bathroom humor. Our family watched it and fell in love with it, too.

High School Musical - that is such a great movie! I love the music - - it makes me want to dance. LOL.
Otherwise, I think Freaky Friday is cool - the one with Lindsay Lohan. Both of these are great for all ages!
