Using a time line, discribe your typical weekday.

Are you interested how others people schedules compare to yours? I am, call me nosy!
I'll go first
5:30am Dh and I wake to talk radio and the auto coffee maker (we have this in our dressing area and the smell is very motivating, we love it!)
6:15 dh leaves for 30 min commute into KC for work- much traffic!
I get back in bed and watch news/ drink coffee until time to get kids up.
7:00 Wake up DS (13), he showers and I make breakfest for him, he is a morning person!
7:30 Wake up DD (7) she lies in bed watching tv until she hears DS bus at 8:00am
She has to wake up slow and easy or she is a grouch! I leave her alone for the first 30 mins, That let's me cater to DS and get him out the door.
8:00 DD gets up and eats...painfully slow...then goes to get dressed and p/u her room, makes her bed (both kids have to p/u rooms and make beds in the morning...not any problem though b/c it's always been like that)
8:30 DD gets on the bus
I go back in to face the breakfest mess, unload the dishwasher, start the laundry..get on the computer, clean something, always!! and let the dogs in and out the patio door a million times! I wait for DH to call on his lunch break, after I talk to him I shower and it's about time for the kids to get home
3:30 kids get home within 10 mins of each other, I look through backpacks and serve a snack
5:00 DH gets home
6'ish dinner
DD has Basketball pratice on Monday and Friday nights from 7:30-8:45
and cheerleading on Thursdays at 7-8
Average evening is spent watching a coupla' shows and bedtime is 9:00 for DD and 9:30 for DS
Dh and I get in bed and watch the news and pass out! whew! I'm tired

5:00am - alarm goes off, I push dh out of bed (otherwise he hits the snooze like 5 times, and then we're late!) and into the bathroom to shower and other stuff while I lay in bed with our yellow lab
5:20-ish - my turn in the shower
5:45 - start waking up the girls, this usually takes 15 minutes or so
6:00 - drag girls out of bed if not already up, lay out clothes for them to get dressed
6:30-ish - I usually either load up the dishwasher (sometimes unload it too), or throw in a load of wash, etc, plus get breakfast for my older one if she wants. Otherwise she'll eat at school.
Between 6:30 and 7 I am also making beds, picking up, filling the humidifier, dealing with trash and burnables, feeding the dog......and on and on.....
7:00 - time to get boots on, teeth and hair brushed, coats on and out the door to the bus at 7:10.
Then it's back to the house to make breakfast for my youngest one, and then clean up afterwards.
I leave for work about 7:35am, depends on when the babysitter gets to my house. Work till 5pm and then a 20 minute ride home.
5:30pm - I just got home from work, but have to pick up (again!) and make dinner, plus showers for the girls, and then their bedtime routine (they go to bed between 7and 7:30).
By 8:00pm I am SO ready for bed myself, but dh and I will watch TV for a bit, unless nothing is on then we'll go down to the basement and play darts for a while. Then we (me and the dog ) are usually heading up for bed by 9ish.

8:00 drop little kids at school
8:30 -9:00 eat breakfast, read newspaper
9:00-2:20 play w. ds3, clean, laundry, surf, eat, playgroup once a week, shop, etc. This time gets filled up differently every day - it varies
2:30 - pick up kids at school - spend 1/2 hour at playground
3:15 - 6:00 homework, dinner prep, more laundry, playtime
6:00 dh gets home, eat dinner

4:30am alarm goes off; hit snooze
4:39 alarm goes off again; hit snooze again
4:48 alarm goes off (can you tell I hate waking up); crawl out of bed
4:49 lovingly scold dog for jumping around so I will take her out
5 am come back in with dog and get in shower
5:20 start dressing, gathering my lunch and feeding the cats and dog
5:55 leave to catch bus
6:05-7:30 spent on buses (I take 3) getting to work
7:30-4 pm work (not going to break that down)
4:16-5:20 spent on buses getting home (only take 2 home)
5:25-5:40 walk the dog
5:40 – 6:30 cook dinner
6:30-8:00 spent cleaning kitchen, washing laundry, internet surfing, sometimes shopping, cleaning various rooms in the apartment, figuring out what to wear to work and what my lunch will be (lots of leftovers)
8-11 in bedroom watching TV and on Mondays & Wednesdays I cut and organize my coupons. Come 10 pm I set the sleep feature on the TV and usually by 11 I am asleep.

Alarm goes off at 6 am. I hit the shower, slap on some makeup and Im at work by 7:30 am. I am a pit boss in blackjack so I watch games all day and do some paperwork. I leave at about 4:30 and drive the 20 mins home. I have a few shows I watch depending on what night it is, cruise the internet, see what yo guys are up to. Every night tho I have to have my bubble bath, it's my one must have. I climb into bed around 9 pm and read or do puzzles until 10. Since becoming pregnant believe it or not I cant sleep for crap most nights so I toss and turn, get up to go pee about a dozen times and giggle at the baby kicking the crap out of the mattress. Then I do it all over again the next day. Can we say a little boring for now but all that will change in about four months once this little beast is here!

Schedule

I guess I've never written it down this way, so I'm not sure how it will look yet

6:00 DH gets up to take shower and get ready (he has to be at work at 7:00)
6:40 I get up to get ready and tell him good-bye
7:15 I'm hopefully dressed and have myself ready by now to go wake kids up
7:45 Leaving now to take DD9 and DD8 to their school and DS4 to preschool
8:00 I'm at work (hopefully - luckily I have a very flexible boss)
3:30-4:00 off work and head to pick up DS from preschool and meet the girls at home after they get off the bus
We usually have from about 4:00 until 8:30 for our various night-time activities:
Monday - DD9 dance from 7:30-8:30; DD8 Piano lessons 7:45-8:15 (from my mom)
Tuesday - DD8 tumbling from 5:30-6:30; DD9 Girl Scouts every other week from 6-7:30
Wednesday - Family night at church from 5:15 - 7:15
Thursday - every other week DD8 Brownies from 6:30-7:30; DD9 piano lessons 6:45-7:15
Fridays -once a month Fantastic Fridays at church and once a month Family Game night at church otherwise they are free!!
8:30 - (hopefully) kids are in bed. The girls get to read in bed until 9:00 and then lights out
9:00 - midnight - should be spent doing more productive things, but it's usually online, reading or watching TV with the occasional load of laundry thrown in.
Midnight - Lights out!

Sometimes I secretly like it when things get cancelled at the last minute so it frees up another night. I never feel like we are at home enough, yet I also don't feel like the kids are in TOO many activities. I guess it's that I'm usually the one running them, so I feel like I'm never at home for an extended period to accomplish anything! I don't know what we'll do when DS gets into activities

Hmm...I work nights so typical for me is way different from everyone else....
5:15 oldest (16) gets up for school (dad is home with the kids)
6:00 oldest catches the bus
6:15 middle child gets up and spends about 20 minutes dragging around waking up slowly
6:30 youngest child gets up. Everyone at home gets ready to go to school and leaves about 7:30, DH comes back home around 7:45 after dropping off kids and gets ready to work (works from home)
7:15am I get off work
7:30 get home, eat breakfast, goof off on the internet for a while
9:00 go to bed
2:15 oldest gets home
3:15 other two kids get home
4:00 I get up, make sure homework is started, and try to figure out what's for supper
5:30 eat
6:00 work on any big projects the kids have, otherwise kids and parents have free time (except on scout days, then have to leave for scouts at 6:30)
7:45 shower and get ready for work
8:30 leave for work, kids go to bed shortly after I leave the house
8:45 start working!

I wake up early as you can see... 3:30AM right now.

In the summer, I take a walk at 5AM but in the Winter... I do a Yoga video or other before everyone else starts waking up.

Okay, let me try this:

5:45 DH gets a shower
6:15 DS12 wakes up and gets a shower, DS9 wakes up cuz he's an Early Bird like Mom!
7:05 DS12 goes to bus stop... I get to hang out with my little one for 50 minutes... This is a special time for us.
7:55 DS9 goes to bus stop - I go with him.
8:00 Breakfast and then I get to work doing whatever needs doing...
11:00 Tuesday/Thursday - Yoga Class at the Community College for me... Wed, Fri, Sat - ride horse
3:15-4:30 Both DS's get off bus and get snacks and do homework.
5:30 DH comes home and we eat dinner shortly thereafter!
Until Bedtime: we hang out together... or alone! Do our thing.
8:15 Kids start getting ready for bed. Lights out at 8:30 on school nights. I usually hang out with my older son for about 15 minutes. He always has *something* big to talk about! or wants for me to listen to him play his guitar or some new song on his CD player.
9:30 Bedtime for me because I am an Early Bird! and DH falls asleep on the couch so he technically does not have a bedtime. Silly man.
