I do not like it when people drive right on my butt. My usual response to this behavior is to slow down until they back off a little. Well today this jerk in a lifted truck was giving me a "light enima" on the way home from getting the kids from school. I drive a small Kia and had 3 kids in the back seat. He was so close I couldn't see his bumper. I was doing 60 in a 55 and decided to slow to 45. Then I waved to the jerk to back off. We crused like this for about 2 miles until we got to our turn lane for our housing track. This idot then sped up and got in front of me then slamed on his breaks while flipping me off. I had already slowed down a lot to prepair for our turn so he didn't freak me out or anything. This just makes me soooooooo mad. Its not like he was going to get much further without me in the way. There was a line of cars about 100 yards up behind a semi truck. We live in a hilly area and the trucks cannot get to more then 25.

(OK now I feel a little better.)

I can see where you coming from I hate tailgaters too! But I don't slow down when they tailgate me there is enough road rage these days you never no who will tick off! If someone is going too slow I back off of them and wait to pass them..

The only time I speed is when I need to keep up with traffic..Which can really drive me nuts on the intersate..We was going 85 and was still being passed in Atlanta "traffic was bumper to bumper" ..so Dh speed up to keep up to traffic..this stupid person merge into our lane from the right side going slower than dirt not even looking where she was going...at the same time a car from the left side was merging in front us they both almost collided right in front us..Thank God the person on the left side caught it and jerk his car back into his lane!! I literal thought it was over for us! I REFUSE to drive in Atlanta now..We took the bypass the following year to void Atlanta and it was double the terror for me all I did was clutch on the handle with pure terror going thru my veins ! I will go clear to another state to avoid Atlanta now ...drives my dh nuts but my nerves can't take it

a few yrs ago, someone was tailgating someone and they slowed down. finally the kids in the truck passed the slow car and shot the tires out. this was in the local news . since that happened. i usually turn off and let them go on.

It's terrible that people tailgate. When they do it to me, I use the windshield washer and clean my windshield. After being hit numerous times in the rearend, I have found this trick does wonders! I am sorry that you had to deal with such nonsense. After all, driving is a privlege.

I totally know what you mean about Atlanta. We used to live in Florida and would drive back to Indiana every Christmas. The first year made the mistake of going through Atlanta during the day. I was never so scared in my life. After that I made sure we timed it so we were in Atlanta during the middle of the night. We always drove straight thru with dh and I switching off on the driving. Even in the middle of the night, it's more traffic than you would expect.
