What is your make-up routine?

Ok..just wondering what everyone else does before they leave the house..

I have to have foundation, concealer, blush, eyeliner and mascara before I will leave the house.

What do you have to have/or not have makeup wise before you go out?

Christine

Depends on where I'm going... Nothing around the house or running to the grocery store. If I'm going out in the evening or going somewhere important, it's my Bare Minerals Foundation, Mineral Veil and Eyeliner/Mascara & lipstick. Sometimes Eyeshadow if I'm in the mood.

I put on foundation, then my eyeliner, eyeshadow, then my lipstick, mascara, and finally blush.... Always in that order otherwise I don't think it looks just right. But if I'm just running somewhere quick, just my eyeliner and lipstick. I just feel better about myself when I "look pretty"!!!

I love it all! I'm definitely a makeup lover...always have been. And I need it too...otherwise I'd scare you! I just feel naked without it...I hate to have such a dependence on it though...I'd be up a creek without a paddle if I ever was on Survivor without any of my "stuff"...I love color, but try to keep it as natural as I can...I have brown eyes, so I always keep the shadow in the brown family...no bright blue or purple...And with all of these couponing deals, I have so much makeup that I've gotten for almost free...I swore that this year even if I got it free or really cheap, I wasn't going to bring anymore into this house...~Lisa

Brush my teeth and hair and that's about it. Always have chapstick handy. If we're going somewhere kinda fancy I'll put on some mascara, foundation, eyeshadow and lipstick.

out of the shower....
Weekdays and Sundays
1. brush teeth
2. apply moisturizer
3. dry hair
4. foundation
5. blush
6. mascara
7. lipstick
8. brush eyebrows

I have short naturally curly hair. Everything out of the shower including drying my hair is 8 minutes tops.

Saturdays
Skip 4,5,6, and 8
Everything takes 4 minutes.

I love Saturdays!

I work nights, so I wear makeup mostly to look like I have been sleeping enough. Regardless of how much I sleep, I tend to look tired.

On some days, I'll put on some Maybelline mouse foundation with a brush under my eyes, as a concealer. I'm really dark there, so anything I try only does so much. I dab some of my Everyday Minerals powder (I got this when someone posted about their samples, and am still using a tiny pot) anywhere I look funky, then powder the rest of my face, put on ELF blush if I have time, then put on mascara (the Maybelline kind with the teeny comb) and lipgloss or balm (so it's either the Mentha stuff from BBW, or the tiny Hard Candy cube). I'm listing brands just because I'm curious about that sort of thing. If I want to, I'll put on a bit of eyesahdow and/or liner. I was taught that I MUST use brushes by a friend who always looks good, so I try to remember to, and find it does help. This can be done in about five minutes if I don't use eyeshadow. I don't do much with my hair, because I'm bad that way. I'll just brush it, and maybe try flattening it a bit with Infusium.

I think that I am a little bit vain...

My nighttime ritual is to clean my skin and then oil it up for the night. I have very dry skin and live in the desert. I have a particular pillowcase that is stained (but clean!) from all of the grease. Hah.

My morning ritual is to apply concealer, foundation, smudged eyeliner pencil, eye shadow, mascara, and bronzer in the Summer. Do my hair every morning... curling iron and hairspray. Wash it every other day... it's wavy and dry (like my skin).

I put on sunscreen when I go outside. I keep it by the door and in my purse. I also use a lot of Cocoa Butter (yellow tube from Walgreens) on my lips and lipstick for 'special' occasions.

I use moisturizer, foundation, eye shadow, eye liner, eye lash primer, mascara, blush and powder to set it all, then lipstick. I never go out without some make up on.

UGH..as much as I hate it, I won't go out of the house without foundation, blush, eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick, as a matter of fact we're getting ready to go to a craft fair, and I have my full face on! On a Sunday Morning!!

I work at the local elem school and live in the same neighborhood, so it doesn't matter WHERE I go, I ALWAYS see either one of the kids or a parent or two.
I would hate to hear..."I saw Mrs. So&So at the grocery store....man! does she look like hell out of school! LOL.

I won't go anywhere without make-up except going to the beach. My make-up routine now is foundation, blush, powder, lipstick, eyeliner and mascara ..

I'm another one of those that feels better when I look like I care about my appearance. It takes about 8 mins. to apply powder foundation, eyebrow color, eyeliner, eye shadow, blush, mascara. I use tinted lip balm, either Burts Bees or Blistex. Lip color when I want to. Forty five minutes beginning to end, provided I don't have to take out time to referee the kids.

I hate this about me, but I find that I actually ACT differently if I forget my makeup! How sad is that?? Really - I think I act like someone who wants to blend in with the walls - very little eye contact, and no joking around and lingering with anyone - male or female - if I don't feel like I have my best look going on:

On a mostly daily basis, I put on concealer (Covergirl 3 in1), then blush, then lip liner, lipstick and perhaps some mascara, if I'm not running late. I'm mostly about the concealer and the lips, though. And funny enough, my lipstick HAS to be nude - no reds, pinks or oranges -- so why so weird about whether I'm wearing it or not?? Go figure...

It is odd if I do have make up on. I think that I look better in it, but since I know how much it costs I hate to waste it if I am just running around or cleaning the house.
Mary Kay/Lancome is what I use.
MK cleaner, MK lotion, (the rest is Lancome) foundation, concealer if needed, powder, blush, eyeshadow, eyliner, mascara, lipstick and lipgloss.

I don't even own any makeup. I also don't use a face cleaner. Anything I've ever tried dries my face out or makes me break out. I just scrub my face with a wet wash cloth. If I've been sweating a lot or got really dirty (race track in the middle of fields on a hot windy day, mowing the yard...), I'll use a gentle cleaner that day. I have a moisturizer I put on once or twice if my skin is getting dry. I do pluck my eyebrows and get them waxed every once in a while.

When I stop getting carded for cigarettes and alcohol, and sales people stop asking if my Mom is home when I answer the door (who I always tell no LOL), I might think about wearing a little makeup. Incase you're wondering I had my 29th birthday for the third year in a row a few months ago

Foundation, eyeliner/eyebrow pencil to fill in (same one), eye shadow trio, blush, concealer, powder, lipliner, lipstick. After years of perfecting this, probably down to 7 minutes.

I wash my face and hair... comb through my hair and I am ready to go. Haven't worn make up in 10 years or more.

I like to use Burts Bees Radaince Day Creamon my face, then eyeliner and never ever ever go anywhere without Lipstick (Burts Bees Lip Shimmer is my current fav)
Only wear mascara on special occasions and never wear any type of foundation, although now in my 40's, been considering it lately!

I'd used Merle Norman eye shadow for years. I couldn't find my favorite shade anymore and had tried MaryKay samples. I ended buying MaryKay on eBay a lot cheaper. A little patience and persistence pays off on eBay.

I wash my face and put on some lipstick..I usually don't wear makeup unless I absolutely have to. Pre-children, I always wore eyeliner, mascara, blush, and lipstick and eyeshadow..was never too keen on foundation as it made my face itch, and made me sweat terrible!

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one here that doesn't wear make-up. I feel very unnatural with "paint" on my face (I used to wear it almost every day, some 15 years ago).

Use to take me 10 minutes just for mascara, put it on comb it out, put it on etc. Finally learned to dye them – takes 15 minutes a month. No more mascara so I just slather on moisturizer, lip gloss and I’m done. On the rare occasion I wear makeup it's Bare minerals.

I have worn makeup since I was in junior high . I feel naked without it . I put it on everyday regardless if I am leaving the house or not. I have oily skin in my "T Zone" areas and I can't seem to go without makeup . My daily routine is:

* Wet Hair
* Wash Face
* Eye cream (Avon)
* Concealer (Max Factor)
* Foundation (Revlon)
* Powder (Jane)
* Blush (Avon)
* Brush eyebrows
* Lipstick (Revlon)
* Eye liner (Revlon)
* Mascara (Revlon)

Apply styling products and blow dry hair and style... 25 minutes and I'm done

I use Bare Minerals so mine is fairly quick:

Shower (brush teeth in shower)
B.M. foundation takes about uh....60 seconds.
Draw eyebrows (drive-by-plucking accident)
B.M. blush
B.M. Mineral Veil
B.M. eyeshadow

I don't use B.M. mascara, because only one company, Maybelline, makes the shade of auburn I like, so I use that. Then it's lipliner and I'm done.

My HAIR, on the other hand, takes about 1/2 hour to fix...and it's SHORT!

I was using a Clinique products and was using very little makeup, but did use the face wash daily. I had a Mary Kay facial and color appointment and was so happy with the products that I not only use their makeup everyday. Concealer, foundation, eye makeup, macara, blush, lipstick and bronzer. I also use their face wash. I also became a consultant and enjoy sharing my experience with everyone.

1. Wash my face, brush my teeth, brush my hair.
2. Eye foundation, liner, shadow, mascara. Then lipstick then gloss. It takes maybe 10 min start to finish.

If I am only staying in town then I only do step 1.

When I am not working, try not to wear any makeup. When I work, I wear the works for that natural look: facial moisturizer for face, moisturizer for around eyes, foundation applied with sponge, powder, under eye cover for the circles, blush, lipstick & mascara.
