I have about 8. Nothing offensive to anyone. And nothing that cant be hidden. I have several piercings as well.

I know it sounds like I may be freaky looking, but I am not. When dressed, you would never know I had anything tattooed or pierced.

I have a very small rose on the left side of my back right below the waistline. My hubby sent me on a little "Mommy vacation" to visit my girlfriend in Vegas. The tattoo was the only thing that didn't "stay in Vegas". The next time he sent me to Vegas as a b-day gift, he gave my girlfriend strict instructions - NO NEW TATTOOS. The thought hadn't even crossed my mind, but once he'd specifically banned it, it made the idea more tempting. I wouldn't mind having a little butterfly to go with my rose.

None at all and it didn't hurt much! I kept ointment on it and I love that I can cover it up if needed.

I have seen alot of older women with tattoos and they look horrible. one that I will never forget was a 89 yr old woman who had a heart on her shoulder and on her back was the name floyd in a heart. I asked her one day who floyd was and she said it has been so many yrs that she didnt remember! lol
also has another little lady who was very much ashamed of the tatoos on her arms and breast. she wore long sleeves yr round to hid her arms. they wasnt names or anything, just flowers and such that the color had long ago faded and as she gained and lost weight, they stretched and kinda run together. the only color left was black and one really looked like a bruise instead of a tatoo.most of my little ladies that have been tatooed say they wish they hadnt done it and would like to take them off if it didnt cost so much.

None here- and I never will. I don't even allow my kids to do temp tatoos.

My grandfather had a tatoo- of his concentration camp numbers- on his wrist. He spent everyday of his life looking at those numbers, and being reminded of what those numbers meant. He never had them removed, he wanted the numbers as a reminder of how he survived that horrible time. He was involuntarily marked- I always thought it would be a slap to him if I voluntarily marked my body.

I have six myself and my DH has eight. I'm one of those people that doesn't really care what other people think of me. When I get old and all my tattoos are wrinkled I won't be forcing anybody to look at them because they're all covered unless I wear shorts and a tank top and if I'm that old and wrinkled I probably won't be wearing any of that. LOL

Yes, I have a angel sitting on a cresent moon with a coupla' twinkling stars. It's on the inside of my left ankle. I wanted one, but one I could hide. It's about the size, overall of a quater. I got it when I was 34...my DD says she wants one, so the standard answer is when your 34 you may get one too!

I have two.
One I got about 12 yrs ago - a tiny butterfly on my butt.... kinda got it on a whim when I went with DH to get one (his ONLY one btw.)....
I'd been thinking about getting another. I really wanted a 4 leaf clover because I'm a very LUCKY girl!
So went out w/ a girlfriend for girls nite out....came home w/ my 4 leaf clover!
OMG dh freaked out.
It's right below my hip bone...can't be seen even if I'm wearing a string bikini (strategic planning on my part. ) ; I LOVE IT and even though it caused ww3 here at home...I would do it again.
I love my husband and he's a great guy but considering it's hidden 99.9% of the time I won't ask permission to beautify MY body.
Do I want more? nope.
I'm happy w/ the ones I have.

no tatoos on me but I am seriously thinking about cosmetic tatoos!
my friend who is very fair like me had her eyebrows done and they look fantastic!
I hate to pencil them in and I hate the penciled in look even more! I work hard at making them look natural,
it takes more time to do my brows than the rest of my make up!

but on the light side, my dd has a butterfly on her butt and I told her that when she gets old it will streach out into a condor

I don't have any, but my Mom had a bee on the back of her shoulder. She got it as 'an old lady' because it was something she had always wanted to do. I personally don't want one, but she sure was thrilled and happy with hers. She was planning to get a flower to go with it. The day she died, I got the first and only bee sting of my life, weird coincidence.

None here...but if it had been as popular as it is now, I'm sure I would've gotten one back in the early 80's...That along with a belly button ring probably...I think that the henna ones across the bottom of the back are sexy if you have a good body...DH has none either...My grandfather had a bunch of them from when he was in the service...I don't really think he looked too strange with them when he was 94, but maybe because I was always used to seeing them on his arms...I say to do whatever makes you happy... ~Lisa

I have my mom's initials shaped in a heart enclosed in angel wings with the year of her birth and death. My mom collected angels and now I will always have one sitting on my right shoulder. I hope that my father doesn't want equal billing, because I doubt that I would do it again.

I have 2 tats. A rose with a sunburst on my right butt cheek and a one-of-a-kind patriotic butterfly with tribals on my lower back. I want one more (at least) of a yin-yang with fire bursting all around it...I think I want it on my shoulder.

I have an Arkansas Running Razorback on the outside of my right calf. I plan on getting more.
My tattoo didn't hurt, I enjoyed getting inked and will do more when I have the time and money.

This is what my tat looks like:

I have none, and don't think I ever want any. While in college I worked in the ER and OR at a university hospital. The comments that were made during surgery at that time about tatoos on women were not very complimentary by the doctors doing surgery.
A funny story that happened about 20 years ago. My husband and I were at a family wedding and were seated at a table with his step-brother and gf at the time. Bothe Jeff and Stacey liked tatoos and had several of them. Stacy was well endowed and had a sleeveless dress on and has a lage tatoo of Pegasus across her chest. My husband is very refined and normally extremely quiet, but after a few more than he should have had leaned over and whispered in my ear, " Do you think Stacey would mind if I asked to pet her horse?" Needless to say after my giggling, I assured him she and several others there in cluding myself would not like it at all!!!

No tattoos in this house.

You'll like this one.........the girl next door, when she was about 12, had the mistaken impression that a person getting a tattoo was given general anesthesia.

And discussing that and making uncomplimentary comments while operating on a patient was HIGHLY unprofessional!

I have had a couple of surgeries. I remember one very well, because the doctors were discussing their golf game. The doctor was floored beyond belief when I asked had he improved his handicap of 4 when he came into my hospital room after the surgery. He was under the impression that patients did not hear what was being said in the OR. Sometimes they do...

I have 5 tattoos and love them all they are as follows

Tweety Bird - right ankle
2 Dolphins in the shape of a heart on my top left foot (hurt like heck but cute as heck)
Tie-Dye Daisy arm band
Tie-Dye Daisy on my right shoulder
A nice emblem with dolphins on my chest (in between my two beauties)

All can be hidden for work or shown off whichever I prefer. The only bad thing is the one on my chest is hard to hide for wearing dresses.

2 rosebuds with banners w/ twin sons names in it
eagle on left arm

I can hide all if needed, most of the time I like to show my ink...nothing offensive

I have a 4 leaf clover on my right calf. It's tiny, about 1 1/2 inches. I got it at Ozz Fest in Chicago years ago. I have another one above my left boob of two doves. They are just outlined in black and their wings join to form a heart between them.. It's about 1 inch by 2 inch. No one can see either one. I only wear capris and if I wear skirts to church they are long.

If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't though.
