or do you not worry about it?

Yep, it costs us $10.50 every 6 months and they provide the bin. We recycle plastic, aluminum, paper & cardboard. They used to take glass, but stopped. It goes out on trash day and a separate truck picks it up. I figure we save part of that money by not using extra trash bags.

Yes, I recycle as much as I can. We have a small recycling bin and the price is included with our garbage service. Garbage and recycling are picked up on the same day by different trucks. We pay about $10 per month for garbage/recycling service.

Things I recycle:
Newspapers
Magazines
Food Boxes (cereal boxes, Coke 12-pack boxes, etc.)
Aluminum Cans
Glass Bottles/Jars
Plastic Containers (laundry detergent/bleach/shampoo/ketchup)
Other Cans/Steel (shaving gel cans/soup and vegetable cans)

I also save my plastic grocery bags and return them to the store's recycling containers.

It's the law in my area. We have a rectanglar box for metal, plastic, glass. We have a giant blue rolling garbage can for paper and cardboard. In my school we recycle paper (a bin in each classroom) and plastic (water bottles and drink containers).

Yes I recycly EVERYTHING. I recycle the cardboard toilet paper rolls every single piece of plastic down to bags that frozen veggies come in.
Anything that can be used again is. I give away clothes and other household things that I no longer want or need. Even mismatched socks can be into the free box in front of the free clinic along with other items that can be used again.
I think it is somewhat selfish and ignorant of people and communities not to recycle. There are hopefully going to be many of generations of people living on Earth long after we are gone. We owe them at least a world that is not filled with rotting garbage that will take thousands of year to decompose. And it is just plain greedy to use up all the paper, etc for one use and throw it in the garbage when it could be used again.
It makes me mad when laziness is the only excuse. I take my huge quilts to the big machine at the laundromat and the Avon lady came in to put her new catalogs in. She threw the whole old pile into the garbage. I asked her why she was throwing in the garbage instead of recycling and she said it was too much trouble. I informed her that she could save them in a box and the Mission would come and get them and they use the money to help people. She looked at me like I had two green heads popping out of my shoulers.
Laziness is her only excuse.

They don't offer it here. They don't even have the bins anymore that they used to have at some locations. Yet, they have "recycle" billboards around town....go figure.

We recycle aluminum cans for the money. Other than that, no. I do try to "pre-cycle" tho, when I can. Meaning, I don't buy overpackaged foods/items, even if I can get them dirt cheap or FREE. IOW, none of those Oscar Meyer lunchables here....LOL.

We pay about $15 a month for trash pick up, and they have NO reclycling here.

Yes, we recycle. It's required, any trash bag suspected of having recyclables in it will be left behind....but DH is absolutely anal about it. Sometimes I'd wish he'd put that much effort into other things on the "honey do" list

We recycle everything we can, and try to reuse everything else. It's not a law here, but the cost is included in the garbage pickup and they supply the bin. Since I've become more conscientous of it(New Year's resolution) I've noticed we're generating much less garbage!! Like another poster said--hopefully the human race will be around for a long while. I'd like to leave a planet worth living on!
