Well I wasnt actually married before but I had a serious relationship before in which I had a child does that count?? Well the ring he gave me I kept dd is now 12 & I have showed it to her & let her try it on I figure when she is closer to say 16 I will give it to her. I just feel even though I hated him at times very very much I will save everything for our dd its the only thing special we have together to give her so I will.

I never had a formal wedding dress to worry about what to do with it. My first wedding ring (married twice) was stolen. Otherwise I would have kept it. Second marriage I had a full set of rings. I had them quite awhile after divorce. I ended up trading them in on a cocktail ring that I still have.

I'm still married...so my rings are on my finger! My dress was cleaned and pressed and is in this really odd box. It has a window so you can see it, but it is like...stuffed. It looks like someones torso is actually in the dress...freaky. I keep it...if one of my three girls wants to wear it, great, if not, no big deal. I will certainly understand them wanting their own. |

I can't top yours, but I was married with no children from that marraige. Dh just found my dress in the attic and we gave it to dd (8) to play dress up in. She LOVES it! I sold my ring to dh's brother for his wedding. They are now divorced....maybe it's the rings Kathie |

I had the diamond reset into a necklace for about $150 - used my tax refund.... get so many compliments about it - it is in a "shaker box"? holder and makes it look bigger than it really is..... Best of all, everytime I see it, I think..... hmmmm..... good decision The dress went to Goodwill for a tax deduction

OMG! Do you live in or near Hackettstown, NJ? We were out driving last weekend and I saw a scarecrow wearing a wedding dress. I thought it was really strange until I read your post. Now I think it's hilarious. I love your EXDH's response.

I was engaged to my first fiance who I was expecting a child with. I sold the ring set to a pawn shop so I could go catch him in the cheating process at Fiesta Texas. Half way there the fiance of the girl, my fiance was cheating with didn't think it was a good idea to see them together. Yes, I had him go with me. I was 6 1/2 months pregnant at the time. We went out to lunch and the beach instead. Then I married her fiance (LOL), divorced him. Sold the dress, veil, tiara and hoop to buy my soon to be ex-husband a puppy for Christmas when we were dating. I sold my rings so I could go out. I put my dress on for Halloween after my divorce and I wanted to be a dead bride. My Mother flipped, because my 1st husband's girlfriend lived down the street and she kept saying "They are going to see you and think you are crazy. Take that off!!!!" I sold my rings from my soon to be ex-husband a long time ago when he upset me. I didn't have a dress because I didn't have a wedding. |
