Thinking of adopting a Corgi from a shelter. Anyone have experience with these types of dogs? Our only other dog was a Golden Retriever whom passed away last summer.

Sorry to hear about your Golden Retriever. It's great that your ready to adopt another dog now!

We have a Basset Hound right now, but have thought about getting a Corgi. Changed our minds when we found out that Corgi's shed almost as bad as Basset Hounds. The ones that I have been around all seem to have a great temperament and are good around kids though.

A very good friend has a Welsh Corgi--that dog is the smartest thing! Of course, he's spoiled rotten!

I have a Cardigan Welsh Corgi that I adopted from a rescue mission 2 years ago. He was 4 at the time. He is the best dog....quiet, well behaved, gets along with children and other animals. I honestly don't know why anyone would give him away. Everybody loves him....we get offers for people to dog-sit, and others say "bring your dog along". Obviously, I highly recommend a Corgi.
