Question about baby clothes

I hit the ToysRUs sale today and got some outfits that have jeans. They are for 6-9 months. But I just noticed they do not have snaps up the legs for diaper changes. You have to take the jeans off to change the diaper. Is this usual? Will it be a pain to get them on and off to change the diaper? Or do most baby clothes that aren't one piece (like sleepers and body suits) not have snaps up the legs? Is this a totally silly question?

It won't be a pain...

You just pull them off. Even if the clothes have snaps we ususally only used them in overalls and one-pieces... and not even all the time then It is hard to re-snap a wiggly baby when they get mobile... but pretty easy to hold them up and just hike up their pants. HTH.

Easier just to pull them down and up then to have to wrestle moving legs to get snaps done!

When my boys were little, I prefered pants thought snaps down the legs. My boys tended to split the snap while wearing them and it was a pain to keep snapping them -- much easier to just take them off to change them.

Yup, I agree, it was so much faster to yank them up, than to try and snap 10 snaps on a wiggly kid, only to find out you did them wrong!

I agree as well... Even the ones with snaps; I'd pull them down instead of dealing with all of the snaps! Elastic waist bands are nice but snap/zipper jeans go easy as well.

Ok ladies, thanks for explaining, I will definately keep the clothes I bought. My gosh, I am so clueless about all this baby stuff, my mom had to explain to me last night why children use pacifiers. This poor kid, she is lucky I have you all to turn to for information and advice!!!

You will do just fine! I'm the new mommy of a 6 1/2 month old DD and I was terrified before she was born because I didn't know anything either. Now I feel like a pro. LOL

FYI, my DD never did care for a pacifier too much. It always seemed to make her more mad if we tried to put a pacifier in her mouth. I think we have about 10-15 pacifiers in several different brands (received a lot as gifts) and DD just refused them all. DD was able to soothe herself much better once she found her thumbs, and I'm okay with that as long as we can ger her to stop by the time she is 4 or 5.

I also prefer pants without snaps. It seems like when DD is wearing pants that snap, every time her pants ride up on her and I try to tug on the leg to pull them down, all the snaps come undone. It's really a pain to have to keep snapping them up.

Good luck with everything!
