It is a great feeling, isn't it? LOL...something we almost take for granted at times. I went back to contacts also simply because I hate wearing glasses and therefore, DON'T and I was really getting to a point where I needed to. I got lazy and quit wearing contacts but decided to suck it up and go back, LOL. Anyway, congrats and I hope they continue to do well for you. |

When I first saw this I couldn't help but laugh. It put me in mind of my ex sister-in-law some years ago. She had never had glasses or even had her eyes examined. She and her dh was riding through the country one nice summer day. All at once she said "John, look over in that field. All those pigs have died". His answer to her was "Ida, those aren't pigs, they are rocks". Needless to say, she went the next week for an eye exam and was promptly fitted with glasses. She said after getting them she realized she wasn't even seeing things on tv the way they really were.

I wear glasses for computing, watching TV, and driving. Otherwise they are annoying... that is called needing bifocals, LOL. I won't go there. My eyes don't change much from appointment to appointment (I go once a year) and so I had last year's pair coated with U/V blocking tint for $10 at the eyeglass store and so now they are prescription sunglasses that I can actually see out of when I am outside. Hah. Welcome to the world of sight. I remember when I first got mine, I was telling my husband, "the trees actually have leaves!" at the side of the road. So cool to be able to see. |
