Since I love Ray LaMontagne's Trouble, I was psyched by Chris Sligh. Chris Richardson and Blake Lewis were also quite good.

I really like Sanjaya, but I think he blew it lastnight. Poor kid. Bad song choice and he just doesn't have the experience like the others.

Sanjaya is really doing terrific for his age - singing & showmanship but also his ability to handle the whole situation, especially nasty Simon. The kid is the same age as my son and I can't ever in my wildest dreams image my son going through that..... I think he's probably out this week unless America pities him....and that's probably a good thing for him at this point. Chalked this up to a great experience and hopefully he will learn from it and do well in the future.

I still think Jared is a beautiful specimen.

I missed Nick Pedro's perfromance - was he better than AJ? I kinda like AJ.... Based on the clip, I thought maybe Nick and Sanjaya would be getting the so-long...

These were my favorites as well! I completley LOVE the Trouble song Chris sang and thought he did a great job. I have always liked Blake Lewis and was pleasantly surprised by Chris Richardson last night!

I was very surprised that Simon seemed unfamiliar with the song....I guess the TeleTubbies don't sing it...LOL

Thank goodness they did better than last week. I almost didn't watch last night and I was glad I did.

Yes, they did much better and 1 1/2 hours (this week) was much more bearable then 2 hours (last week).

I'm looking forward to hearing the ladies sing tonight -- although I almost always favor a man's singing voice (!) and rock'n'roll, the ladies are VERY good!

I hope that one or two of them will *rock-out*!

not too pleased with the gals tonight. A few were good but most were *okay* at best. I couldn't begin to guess the bottom two....more than 4 need to go for good!

My bottom two votes go to Antonella Barba and Leslie Hunt (while I think she's good, I don't think she's an Idol)

I sure can't wait for Bon Jovi night... I'm so not into the style of music although I know that it showcases their voices.

I have a real hard time watching this much TV. I might start skipping ahead and only watching Thursday nights when they announce the results.

Whine, whine, whine... LOL

Those are my picks for the two going home today. I was shocked to see that Antonella didn't go home last week!

I just heard about this on The View today and was shocked. You're right - depending on who's voting this could help or hurt her. It will be interesting to see.

I'm just mad Antonella didn't go home. The fact that she even had the nerve to compare herself to Jennifer Hudson was a complete joke!

I thought Sanjaya should have gone too but didn't think he would with all his pretty hair! The teen girls must be crazy for him!

I'm almost as irritated as I was when they sent Chris Daughtry home!

I didn't really care for any of the ones that left tonight. I do NOT like Antonella, she just annoys me to no end and needs to be put in her place.

Go Lakisha!

Fun article about American Idol auditions: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15310288/

I like the comment from the returning person whose advice to the newcomer is, "Remember that first and foremost this is a reality TV show, not a talent show."
