My only other resolution is the same one I have had for a couple years now : get REAL prints of pictures I have taken with my digital camera and stick them into actual photo albums. I just ordered over 65 holiday prints a couple weeks ago. Now I am getting low on photo albums! I have over 4 photo albums and need a few more to hold all of my pictures!

My goal was to get my house and finances organized. And to pay off some credit cards. house: I have joined FLY Lady and my house has never been cleaner. I auctually had a friend come over and ask "Who's comming over, your house is so clean?" That was the best. Finances: I now keep a notebook with all the monthly bills. I write the bill (rent, lights, gas, ect.) and the amount due the day I get it. Then on payday I sit with the checkbook and write the check # and amount paid. Then I check the account every day to see what has cleared. Once it clears our account it gets crossed off with a highlighter so it stands out that its paid. credit cards: I used a program to set up a payment plan to pay off our credit cards. I am applying an even $500 a month and the program tells me how much to send to whom. Jan was really tight but I have followed through for Feb. DH charged $100 to Home Depot (to replace the shower DS2 broke) and I paid that plus the amount I was supposed to. We are a long way to debt free but its nice to say 35 hundred instead of 4 thousand. It rolls off the tounge better. As a bonus I have started making dinner at home almost every night. I also only shop with a list and I stick to the list. I am cutting coupons but have not yet used any. We have also tythed 10% in feb. and we have over $400 in savings. We find ourselves using some of the money in savings still but I think just putting it in is a good start (and last pay period we still had money in savings on payday). I am very proud of myself for sticking to this. I know its not much but its HUGE for me. VAlerie251: Congrats on the 23 pounds. Thats great. What are you doing to lose wieght? I need to lose about 10lbs and get in shape before my brothers wedding in July. I think I better start now or I won't do anything. (His wedding is on the beach, in the summer. Can anyone say strappy dress?!)

Three goals: 1) Lose weight... no deadline. I am about 6 pounds down from the beginning of 2007. Goal is to fit a size 12 comfortably so not sure how many pounds. I'm now a 14 comfortable (5'8"). I do better with this type of goal vs. pounds goals... I do NOT do well with scales. Ha ha. My shape has changed significantly since I started Yoga a month or so ago. Will add walking within the next month or so as the weather is warming up. 2) Win a full settlement for a car accident that we had in October in which our vehicle was totalled... I was the squeakiest wheel to our insurance company and they kept sending another $100-200... Finally, mid-January, they couldn't stand me anymore and sent us a check for $1700. It more than covers the full value of the vehicle. Hah. 3) Get back into couponing... Have really gotten back into the routine with this and have had a lot of fun taking bunches of stuff into the food bank each week as well as bringing home a stockpile for my own family. So, yes, I am sticking with my resolutions. Feels good, doesn't it!?Way to go to the others... It is always nice to hear of others' success. |

I didn't call mine a resolution but decided this was my year to lose weight. My goal is to be thin (not sure what that means in lbs) by my bday (Nov 10). So far I'm down 11 lbs in 6 weeks - started 1/16. I've been floundering a little in the past two weeks and need to get in line!! Congrats to everyone!
