I just signed up and am goofing around trying to figure this out. I havn't added any friends yet and it is lookin' a little bare!
So, anyone else on Myspace? How do I add friends? How the heck do I add music? I am feelin' a little unhip - thanks Myspace!

I have one. Not much to it but I did find a couple friends from the military that way. Nice to get back in touch with them

If you know a person's user name, you can look up their account and click add as friend. You'll sometimes have to wait for them to approve you, other are set to automatically approve.
To add music, above all your info you'll see a bunch of different buttons. Click on music and then search for your favorite artist. you'll get a list of potential profiles. Go to one and if it has a list of music available, click the song you like. I always listen to the song to make sure it's a full copy and not cut off. then just click add music/song to profile and you're done

You'll want to do a layout to personalize your 'space'. You can change it as often as you like. Just click on some other people's profiles and see how they've done theirs. There's a 'tag' on the sites to show where they've gotten their layouts or the other things they've put on their site. Just click on it and you can go to the site and find what you want to use that you like. If you know a young person, they probably have a web page and can show you exactly how to copy and paste and where to put everything.

It's a lot of fun. Our family keeps up with each other this way! We each have a Myspace page!

You add music by searching on myspace for the band you want for example I just put "American Pie" back on mine. I search for Don Mclean on myspace music and then when I find the one with the song I want I click on Add and it adds to my page.

I keep meaning to tell you this. I know how few and far between sound GIRLS are. My sister is one too! She had been doing it since college and up until recently when she had an epiphany and decided to become a personal trainer. I'd say she was in the business for 20+ years.
