I wouldn't say it is normal, but it is probably treatable. He needs to see his doctor.

When was his last complete physical? Could be a symptom of a medical condition.

My husband was having erection problems at the same time he was having other problems.
Saw a Dr. referred to a Urologist that found that his bladder was not emptying completely.
I know of others that have the opposite problem going to often which causes the same
problem. If the prostate is being irritated at all it screws with everything down under.
Make sure you get a referrel to a Urologist.

I had a good urologist (regarding the 'big V')

Anyhow, I went back to him for 'prostrate problems' (but it wasn't...).

I would wake up in the Am with pain. I'd get up, pee, and all would be fine. Figured somethings 'wrong'.

It wasnt that though. The getting out of bed was the key. I messed my back up yrs ago (delviering papers for 5 yrs does that, I s'pose...)

Anyhow, they did ultrasounds (hey! Im not pregnant!), and everything was fine.

I didnt WANT to see the doc (who <IS> my PCP? I signed up with him, but never see him...)

Anyhow, tell him to go see a the PCP and get a referral to a good urologist. I'd guess he KNOWS something's going on... Right?

Some medications can also cause this. Have him see his Dr.

He needs to go to the doctor..My dh was having the same problem.I had to basically encourage him to go.He was very embarrassed about it and really didn't like talking about it either.

The outcome was do to Stress of leaving the military..after hearing the words from the doctor he was ok afterwards..everything return to normal..
