Big lottery jackpot in Mass. (and other states, for sure..) upwards of $350 Million.

I never play. Waste of time

But I'll buy some tickets tonight. How much? Maybe 5.

I bought 3 for Saturday and lost (or was it Friday?)

Does anyone play? Have you ever won ANYTHING? I won $400 twice on scratch tickets like 10 yrs ago... can't win ANYTHING now.

What would YOU do with $350 million (or $175M after taxes..)

1) College for 3 girls
2) Weddings for 3 girls

I've never played any type of lottery. My dad used to buy one ticket every Saturday night when I was a teenager though.

I always say I'm going to get $5 worth of lottery tickets, but always forget to get them!

Maybe that's why I never win!

but I'm going today to get tickets for this one. $5 for us, and I think DH put in a few $$s at work.

We had a really fun talk about what we would do with the money. I figure someone has to win eventually.. why not me?

Going out to get some right now! I didn't know the jackpot was that high! I think I'll buy ten quick picks, cash option of course. I rarely play the lottery. If I do, it's the scratch off ones which I never have any luck on! The first thing that I'd buy if I won would be my Cadillac! ~Lisa

We only buy when the jackpot gets sky high. We bought $5 last week and will buy another $5 today.

I remember one late night comedian commenting on the lottery when it got really high. He made the observation that many only buy when it's insanely high, like the everyday pot of a million-plus wouldn't be enough for us!

Yep, I bought some $2.00 worth. I never play but I figure I have as good a chance as everyone else. Like I told my husband we can be millionaires until the drawing.

I play when it gets higher...I heard that the megamillions jackpot is now at 375 mil for tonight! I play more for the dream of what I would do with the money than to actually win, because I have never won ANYTHING on a megamillions ticket!

I play when I get a "twinge" that I might win about once a month or so. I guess I should only play when I don't have the twinge since I have not won yet!!!

When the tv commercial says "for entertainment purposes only not to be used for investment"

I always jokingly say "what do you mean? that is my retirement fund"

Quite honestly I would never want 350 million. I think that would be something more of a burden than a blessing. How could you hide that? It would be difficult to lead a normal life.

I would rather have just enough to pay my mortgage and car, those are my only debts as I don't believe in using credit cards. I would put some in investments and a Roth IRA and pay for my son's college. Of course I would share with my family and help out a charity.

I also don't want the responsibility of "bestowing" so to speak money on anyone. I don't want to control anyone else by doling it out a bit at a time but I don't want certain people to waste it and come back asking for more.

So for me the smaller 1 or 2 million is more desirable.
I don't care if I still have to work if my obligations have been cleared.

I only play with co-worker when it is a Mega Jackpot I would help all my family out if I won. In addition I would help out local families going through medical issues or losing a spouse (7 in 2 weeks) with no insurance.
