Angry Okay, now I OFFICIALLY hate Vonage!!



...Unfortuntately, although the quality bites, I'm addicted to the low price per month!
Does anyone have another "alternative" phone service that they REALLY like??

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with them. We've had them over two years.....LOVE Vonage! Have you tried making adustments to your bandwith on their website? This can adjust some of the quality issues. Let me know if you need help finding it!

what do you hate about it?? I'm trying to decide if I want Vonage or not.

I use momentum now, while not as low priced as vonage...about 60 a month for unlimited local and long distance. I don't know much about any other viop services

I am sorry. I have voiced my disgust over Vonage here a few times. You couldn't pay me to do business with them...honestly.

We are using Comcast Digital Voice and are happy. We also found out that the security system we've been looking at (ADT), will NOT work with Vonage but WILL work with Digital Voice

What do I hate about Vonage...let me count the ways.
On a regular basis, I have to "re-set" my whole internet connection (unplug Vonage, unplug the modem, turn off the computer, wait and turn everything back on again). Of course, I only know this is a problem when I try to log on to a website and get an error...but I have no dial tone in the meantime, so I would neither be able to make or receive calls.
The connection is terrible...it's sounds like snow on a TV set. And, I've tried connecting three different phones to see if that would improve the situation. And, a new computer.
I did work with a customer service representative to lock into the pay now for two years price...and found out the request hadn't gone through when I got the next bill.
But, as I've said, I'm hooked on the low price...so is there anything GOOD that's similar? Does anyone use SKYPE?
