Talking Dh job

I was complaining early about dh pay raise for a senior slot..Some of you might remember this..

Good news they raised Dh pay to $6,000 more a year. It's not the $10,000 we were expecting but we are both happy with it. From what Dh found out he was being paid on the high end when he started with the company. We already knew this but didn't realize how close he was getting to senior pay from the get go...One guy had been there for 7 years and Dh was getting paid alot more than he was. While they can't talk about how much they make the guy did figure out he was getting alot less than dh.

I'm really glad it didn't take him having to bring another offer from another company. Like I said Dh is really happy with this company and he thrieves on learning new things. Of course he will still keep his eyes open for better opportunties..But for now we are happy!! I guess it really pays to ask!

I am so happy for you and your family. My Dh is on the high end of the pay scale for his job, so he has only been getting a 3% yearly raise. His reviews are always over and beyond what is expected of him but that doesn't matter. He would have to take another job with company and travel to get a good raise but for us it is not worth it. Your husband sounds like an employee that a company is very lucky to have.

The way companies are laying people off and not giving any raises, I would think $6,000 more a year would make you extremely happy. Be grateful!
