Your morning routine......

Fast and furious or leisurely?

I don't get up to an alarm, more of an internal body clock. I like to have a couple hours to myself in the morning before the rest of the household gets moving. I usually have a cup of tea, and check email. Then a little yoga and some kind of cardio. After that it's the little things. start a load of laundry, feed the birds, ect., but all at my own pace.
When I have to get up super early and be somewhere, it's total chaos.
Just wondering if anyone else is like this.

Arrow On weekdays....

On weekdays only:
Clock starts going off at 6:15 am. I snooze until 6:20 am. I get up and pee. Put on my robe, walk into the kitchen grab a big glass of mountain dew. Turn on laptop. Grab cigarettes. Visit my fav coupon hangouts, i.e. MyCoupons I try to unwind before the rest of the house gets stirred up. At 7 am, I wake both of the boys up and get them dressed and ready for school. If daughter isn't already awake, I wake her. We get semi-dressed. Carry the boys up to the bus stop at 7:25 am. After they are on the bus, I carry my daughter up the road to my grandmothers where she stays on Monday, Tues, & Thurs while I work. I return home, shower and prepare to leave for work. Out of the house and on the road at 8:30. Travel for an hour to work. On the other days, Wed and Friday, I skip the going to grandmothers and just return home. I work from home on those days, so I just get DD settled in with toys and spongebob, lol. I work, we play, we do laundry, etc.

On the weekends, I generally get up at the same time....just NOT by alarm. We all do breakfast and plan for the day and if there's no plan, then we lounge around a few hours and then the cleaning routine begins.

alarm goes of @ 7 I tell my dh to get up. I get up and check email then continue to unlock door for the girls and get dressed. I got back in and yell at dh to get up.
girls get here at 7:30 I make sure they are dressed and ready for school since their dad dresses them in rags.. go back into the bedroom and become violent with dh to get him out of bed.
my boys wake up by 7:40 and the girls get on the bus. We get breakfast and watch cartoons while I make the bed, do my load of laundry , and wipe down the bathroom (yep I'm a flylady!)
Dh wakes up and yells at me because I didn't wake him up! Then I get son ready for preschool or hockey. which ever he has that day.

I get up whenever Naysa wakes me up. Anywhere from 6 to 8. I never sleep later than 8, though. I get up, go straight to the kitchen to take my headache RX pills, get Naysa's bottle ready. Get her, feed her while I check some websites. By that time, middle DD is up. I give her something to eat, then I TRY to get on the treadmill where I read My Daily Bread and the Bible. After that, I feed Naysa cereal, and once she's been up 2 1/2-3 hours, I put her down for a nap. I TRY to get a shower then. She gets back up, then she eats, I give middle dd lunch (Weds I drop her off at preschool). Mon, Wed and Fri, I bath middle DD for school somewhere in between everything else. I try to do laundry and everything else that needs to be done while Naysa's sleeping or when hubby gets home. I start supper around 3 or so. Oldest dd gets home at 3:30.

It's pretty pathetic that the only day I get to leave the house is Wed when I take dd to school (MIL takes her the other two days) .

During the week, I get up at 6:00, start my coffee and turn o nthe computer. By then, the puppy needs to go out and when we are done, I drink coffee and read w-mail and check coupon boards. Kids get up at 6:45 and slowly get ready for school. At 7:25 we walk down to the bus stop. I will usually come home and start alundry and do housework.

The kids drag me out of bed around 6:45 - 7:00. I make lunch and get DS ready for the bus at 8:00. After we drop him off I come home to get my Ebay mail ready to go to the post office while DD has breakfast. Check the computer and then head out shopping and on errands for most of the morning. Pretty relaxed really.

Weekdays: My internal clock wakes me up somewhere between 5:30-6:00. I take a shower, dress, put on make up and dry my hair. If I'm running behind, I go ahead and pop something in the toaster oven for the girls breakfast(waffle, toaster scramble or toast), wake them up where they start dressing, eat, brush teeth and hair(they shower at night), I get their lunches ready for school and if there's any time left, I fold clothes if there are any or wash clothes or sit down and watch the news. If I have extra time before waking up the girls, I do the laundry or just a general quick pick up. I take them to school around 7:00(school starts at 7:15) and when I get back, I relax for about 1 hour by vegging in front of the computer, LOL. Then I do whatever needs to be done to the house or run errands if I have any.

Come in get in shower, watch the news (local), get half dressed *underclothes)
Brush teeth
Brush hair out
Finish dressing
Feed “children” (the dog and the cats) and water them
Get lunch from frig
Get necessary bag and purse
Leave for bus at 5:55

I wear no make up and I don’t do anything fancy with my hair mostly pile it on my head.

My Alarm goes off 6:25...(ACTUAL TIME is 6am...My clock is always wrong) go bathroom, check email.....
Go in the kitchen take the doggy out....feed her and then make a cup of coffee for me....

By 6:15 I get the boys up and they get dressed...By 6:20 everyone is in the kitchen and I'm just about done cooking/fixing breakfast (something FAST and easy)....6;20-6:45 the boys eat...THEY ARE SOOO SLOW!!! With me constantly telling them "hurry up guys!!" While they eat...I drink my coffee, take the dog out AGAIN (she goes twice in the morning...not again until evening..thats just her!!) then I get my contacts in and get dressed...ALL the while telling the boys "hurry up!! EAT EAT EAT!!!"

6:45 I tell which ever has eaten the most, that breakfast is over...go brush your hair, teeth get ready.......by 7 both have been in the bathroom and done what they had to....Usually whoever used the bathroom first plays with the dog for awhile when the other is getting ready....

7:00 we start loading up snacks and papers in backpacks, put on shoes, play with the doggy a little...

EXACTLY 7:10 the 3 of us leave the house for the bus stop....by 7:15 they are off to school and I'm back inside.

If I could only get them to eat breakfast faster....they could sleep longer....

EDITED TO ADD: Occasionally someone will just mess up my whole schedule...Like this morning...6:10am my phone rings and its my brother...He lives across the road a bit...he called when he saw the lights come on....He had to bring his step daughter here, because the babysitter wasn't home and if I could keep her and take her to the bus....So I had 3 kids...and I kept saying "STOP playing we have to get ready!!" the boys just LOVE their cousin...

I get up whenever the baby gets up. The boys wake up on their own, get dressed and eat. The rule is.... if the TV is on any you are not ready for school you are grounded from TV for the rest of the day. Baby gets a cup then we take the boys to school. When we get home we eat then I check my email/ mycoupons. Then its time to clean and do a load of laundry. At nap time I turn off the TV and read then we get the boys from schoo. They play outside until about 5:30 then its homework, dinner, showers, dessert, read and bed. Then I watch a little adult TV (House, 24, survivor, ect.) then its off to bed for me.

On days DH is home the schedule is about the same except I do not do any cleaning in the mornings.

Dh wakes me up at 5:30. I look on side table grab coffee, sit up in bed and drink until 6:15. Dh and I talk about the days happenings until 6. I lay out dh's clothes and go make his lunch, wake little one up at 6:30, give him his clothes and get his meds ready while he is dressing. Dh leaves. Give meds and make his breakfast. He starts eating at 7:45. Wake Daughter, 1st attempt to wake ds 2, come take my shower, 7 little one gets hair combed and teeth brushed. Attempt 2 to wake second ds up. little one gets on bus 7:10. I put makeup on and get dressed. 7:30 yell scream and demand ds 2 to get up, he does. Get his and daughters breakfast while drinking more coffee and checking e-mail and telling dh how the morning is going. check mycoupons and other boards. 7:50 daughter leaves, Do my hair, make sure I have everything ready for work. 8:00 ds 2 leaves for school. Do morning dishes, start a load of laundry, pick up livingroom. Leave for work at 8:30.

Get up at 5:45, put on running clothes and head out about 6:00 am go for a 6 mile run.

Back home before 7:00 am.
Between 7 and 8 all this happens some how:
Shower because I smell real bad.
Make coffee and lunches.
Yell at children to eat, make beds, dress and brush teeth. Will repeat this several times.

About 8:15 walk the 3 children to school, only drive if it is raining, this takes about 10 min. or less if the want to race each other or we are late and I tell them we need to run! They need to be there by 8:30.

I walk home and then clean up the mess from the morning rush!

My alarm goes off at 6:30am, so I have a few minutes to wake up before DS#1 (1st grader)'s alarm goes off at 6:40am. Once DS comes downstairs dressed, I make him breakfast and make his lunch & snack while he eats. Then send him to brush his teeth and hair and get his shoes on while I throw on some work out clothes. We leave the house at 7:15 for the bus stop. The bus comes around 7:20.

Then I go back home and work out for 30 minutes, take a shower, get DS#2 dressed, fed and make him a lunch. If there is time, I start some laundry, tidy up the kitchen and/or check my e-mail. I make myself breakfast (something to-go). At 8:45, I get DS#2 in the car and drive him to preschool. His school starts at 9am. Then I run errands if I need to or go back home and do housework, etc.

I live for days when there is no school so we can sleep in and get up without the alarm!!! I am NOT a morning person!!!

Single, no kids - so usually on my own in am. got in bad habit of falling asleep to tv in bedroom and waking up to it (love the sleep timer on it) So much better than waking up to any alarm clock I have tried, which tend to be either to loud giving me a heart attack almost or they break /don't work after a few months. Although, I usually wake a few minutes prior on my own, I either wake to the click of the tv turning on or the light from the tv. Much more gentle than any alarm. Now M-F I wake at 4am, pee, walk to living room, turn up heat if needed. turn on lights, look outside to check weather, weight myself, shower, make a cup of instant coffee and breakfast, instant oatmeal or such. Sit down with coffe /food at lap top check email and fav mb sites, tv is on for news, weather traffic also. Then dry.curl hair, brush teeth,(while walking around getting out underwear & clothes), do makeup, put water in micro for take with coffee, dress, gather lunch stuff and leave. weekends same, except may sleep in an extra hour. depends on day plans, may go workout or grocery shopping before the crowds.

Talking Me too.

I'm the same way. I love getting up a couple of hours earlier than everyone else just to have the quite time alone. I am very much a morning person. I watch country videos, check my e-mail and just relax before I have to start my day.

Get up around 7:30. Kids are usually just getting up at this time. Feed the kids. Throw in a load of laundry. Exercise while the kids are playing and getting dressed/brushing teeth. Get oldest to the bus at 8:35. take shower while younger 2 watch some cartoons or play. I'm usually doing basic cleaning stuff till 11 or so. M,W,F my 5 year old has preschool from 12:30-3 so lunch on those days is around 11:30.
