Are you "crafty"? (EDITED!)

Have you ever wanted to try oil painting?

Maybe drawing is your thing?

Wouldn't you like to share that great idea for that cool Christmas craft?

Check out the Save with Arts & Crafts board. Meet with other that share your "sickness" and infect others with your great ideas!

I Started this thread as a way to bring some attention to the AC board, but it got me to thinking.

Are any of you avid crafters? I always envy those people with the gorgeous scrapbooks! Me? I have two HUGE boxes with unorganized pictures! Not an artsy fartsy bone in my body!

I am soooo NOT crafty! We never did craft projects as kis, Mom was not crafty either!

I have a crafty friend that I call when needed. She helped me cover and old glass window on a closet door that was frosted (think 80's) with a table runner - of all things!

Yeah for Robin! My friend is very crafty!

If I could excel at anything, I would wish to paint like a true artist. How fulfilling that would be.

No. Not at all. We are not artistic either. We draw stick people for everything.

I have to have something to keep my hands busy while sitting. I ABSOLUTELY cannot just sit, even to watch tv.

I enjoy crocheting, plastic canvas, and cross stitching
I never got into scrapbooking, but my dd and granddaughter does it. My granddaughter sells Stamping Up products primarily just to get her supplies.
My mother crocheted as did both grandmothers. My grandmothers also sewed, quilted, tatted.
My paternal grandmother oil painted, but she didn't discover her painting talent until she was 60. It was such a shame because she did beautiful paintings for 3 years before she passed away at 63. I'm blessed to have 2 of her paintings.

I'm a scrapbooker-- I started about 10 years ago, and have about 40 completed albums. I've really slacked off the last 2 years or so. Every once in a while I get a bug, but I find it's harder and harder for me to hold my attention.

I make greeting cards (stampin up)

I have an embroidery machine that I use a lot.

I can sew so what. (not near like what my mom could).

There for a couple of years I made purses (like vera bradley) and sold them. (so tired of those I could spit).

I keep thinking that one of these days I would start scrapbooking, Just havn't ventured that way yet.

I think I am crafty, but lately I feel like the queen of unfinished projects. I love to start new projects, and learn new things, and somewhere along the way I get sidetracked... Lately I have been making pendants out of microscope slides, and that is a fun, kind of quick project. I really wish I was more like some women I know who are always creating something absolutely amazing.

I love to do craft projects. I make candles and wreaths, like to do needlepoint and some woodworking projects. I'm not really into scrapbooking. I also haven't done many crafts in the past couple of months. I have boxes and boxes full of craft supplies so I need to get back into it. As for painting and drawing, I can't do that even if my life depended on it. Basically, the most I can draw is stick figures. LOL.

I've dabbled in MANY different types of crafts. I've been scrapbooking off and on for 10 yrs now, and I want to get back ON! I have a ton of stuff, but I need to get it organized and get a few friends together and have them over... much more fun that way! If you have any friends who scrap, they'll surely offer to help you get started if you're interested. If you don't have any friends, try looking for a Yahoo group or something. Anyone wanna come over to my house? It's little, and I have animals, but we could have fun! lol
