I think its very nice.....everything needs awhile to work out the kinks, but I think it went reasonably smooth!!

I am having a hard time with it because it is a lot harder for me to see at a glance which posting I have already read. I check periodically throughout the day and now I have to click on each posting before I know if it is old or new? The times aren't too much of a help because of the difference in time zones.

I do agree with you there..my text is alot smaller and makes it a little harder to skim!

You can enlarge the text of any internet page by going to View at the top of your browser and clicking on Text Size and then increasing (or decreasing?).

It looks much better after I enlarged the text.

In fact, I really don't know that I see a lot of difference from the old site?! But haven't really checked around much.

I like it so far but I too agree that the font is too small. Thank you for the tip on how to enlarge but I could still use it a little larger! I am not experiencing the slow page loading time though!

To enlarge the text push down the control button and roll the mouse over the page it enlarges the text

I agree the print is SOOOOOOO small. Definitely not user friendly especially if you don't have perfect eye sight. And I don't feel I should have to change font size JUST for this sight. I don't have a problem reading the print on any other web sight I visit.

And it is SOOOOOO slow. I could empty a jar of frozen molasses as quickly as this loads. And it's not my computer or server because, agin, no problems with any other web sights.

Other than those 2 things, I really haven't noticed any other changes made.

As the old saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix. It seems MC has DEgraded the sight rather than UPgrade it. What's up with that?

I will have to agree it is much slower than it used to be and the font it too small indeed. Maybe they will fix it soon?

I tried to enlagee the print too using the view and it didn't work. Yes, the print is way too small. Especially for us older folks!! lol (I'm 50)

It is very small and spaced-out. I know I can edit my browser settings, but I'm not sure why that should be necessary.

I like it. It's slow though. As with anything, changes take time to adjust to but overall I think it's great. I love the new coupon code match game!

Way too small I can hardly read- and when I tried to increase the size of the font for this post all I found was jibberish. Not liking this at all. I cannot see myself happy here.

I agree the font is too small and hard to read, I tired to change mine and it stays the same. Right now that's the only complaint I have but hopefully it will get better.

A totally new site takes some tweaking. Remember the site was only down for an hour and a half! Some sites revamp and it takes them DAYS to come back up. Lets give the techies some time to get everything running smoothly. I'm sure within the week everything will be humming along nicely!

Well, it has taken me 4 tries to get into this board to respond. It locked up my computer 3 times before I was able to get here. I can't read any of it because the text is so small and I'm on AOL so I don't have a "view" button at the top to change the size of the text. Guess I won't be back till they get this fixed. I can't read ANY thing on here!!!

It was really super slow loading once it did go through and it was very very confusing as to how to find the boards. It let me sign in on the first time and it showed me a link to the boards but then when I kept getting kicked out and would come back, there was no easy link to find the boards. I had to search a number of pages for them.

I'm sure they will get this all back work just dandy real soon but as for me today....I can't do it.

Well I am definitely going to give this new stuff a double thumbs down. I have really good eyesight...but this is ridiculous...my eyes are killing me trying to read this super-fine print. I don't know that I could take coming here and trying to read this stuff. It's not worth my eyes hurting.

I have a cable connection (fast spwwd) and I waited a long time to load. The print is small, so nothing new to report there.

As far as navigating through the site, I wasn't able to find things right away...but that is with anything new. This is not a complaint...just a thought out loud.

I do want to thank the tech team for working so hard to have the site down for such a small time period. Hubby is a tech and I know how hard it can be.

I do not see anything else that changed. What am I missing? I liked mc better when the offered free email. I do n ot understand the new coupon code promo. does one get points credit just by finding and adding a coupon code, or by shopping thru the site?

I have to agree with everyone else, for the same reasons: Site takes too long to load (we have Roadrunner) and it's only this site, every other website is normal speed. And the font size is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too small. It's extremely hard to read!

I hope these things get fixed soon.

I'm not digging the new site. The font is too small. I can change it under view, but I have to change it for EACH window I open up (I open new windows for each thread). Plus, I miss my beige color scheme. I went under user CP to see if I could change it back to my beige, but I couldn't find where to change it. I do NOT like this blue.

Between the small print and the blue color scheme, my headache is getting worse.

slow slow sloooooooow took me several minutes to sign in and scroll to post this msg and it kept clocking and clocking...that doesn't happen to me at other sites. I have DSL and it's usually very fast..

I also used to use the 'jump to another board' feature and it's gone now -

also the 'preview' or whatever it was called..you could scroll over a post title, and read part of it...I can't do that anymore ,have to open every post. don't like that..

hope the bugs are worked out. mainly the slow response time is annoying

oh and i also can't see any avatars at all i just get x's in that area. weird.

IT'S HORRIBLE. Everything is so small I cannot read it without a magnifying glass. I don't have this problem anywhere else on the Internet. Someone really dropped the ball on this one. It hurts my eyes so bad to try to read it. I am afraid if I cannot change it I will no longer be able to be a daily visitor to this site.

Thanks Greg, my issues are the same as everyone else. I saw one person say this and I wanted to second it. It is hard to see whih threads are new. The difference is so slight that it is hard to tell.

Iat is extremely slow and I have cable. Also I do not think I will be coming here very often as the print is very small and these old eyes are watering from tring to read the small print. I have it set to largest and it is still bad

Hi Greg, if you all have made any changes to address the speed issues, I'm sorry to say there has been no improvement. Pages load but freeze for a long while before they are excessable.As for the font ,I don't know because I have mine set in Internet Explorers Tools,Internet Options,Accessibility,Ignore font sizes specified on webpages.Hoping things get better.Good luck!

I'm very sorry but you posted this message at 2:17 and it's now 4:45 and NO IMPROVEMENT is visible at this time.
The font is so small it's extremely taxing on the eyes. There is nothing on this site that is worth damaging eye sight.

Also, this is now the slowest site on the entire world wide web.

I hope something is done to improve these things as I do enjoy coming here. But I won't be back until it becomes user friendly.

I don't know what the purpose of this change was, but you sure missed the boat on this one.
I've been on MC for 8 years and it is now the WORST I've ever seen it

I don't care for the changes at all. Harder to find what I am looking for and takes more clicks to do it. I do not like the font thing either...too small and hard to read and making it bigger for just MC means I have to make it smaller for other sites. The site is much slower as well. I liked it before

When I open the MC site to the list of the boards -there is larger print now .

When I open a board - it is now half large and half tiny print.
The top part wirh our user names and the upper right corner with the number of post, rep points,etc. are large.

All the stuff that members post is still small.

I can't find anything either; very hard to find how to get to my favorite forumns now. I also have a very large monitor that is right up to my face and my eyes hurt so bad I am about to log off. The first page looks very very busy to me. I have to say I liked it better the old way, but if all of this gets fixed it will be ok. Thanks.

Yay, the font looks better now! However, loading new pages now briefly locks up Firefox. I wish I knew more about vBulletin.
