The minute I turned 40, I began noticing long random whiskers on my chin! It's making me so self-conscious, and I've began plucking them. However, I would rather get rid of them for good.

I'd love to hear from anyone who actually tried electrolosis - it's been around forever, but I don't know anyone who's done it. It's a hard questions to come out and ask to people in person - thank goodness for cyberspace!

How many times does the hair have to be zapped before it really is gone for good?
How much did you have to pay?
Was it successful overall?

I'm really so interested in ANY experience on this before I jump in and try this.

i hear laser is good but i also heard you have to let your hair grow for several weeks and i could not do that unless i went into hiding lol

I had my bikini line done quite a long time ago. I think I went maybe 8 - 10 times (enough that I thought I should see SOME difference) and I think I probably paid about $500. Well, 20 years later, that bikini line is just the same way it was when I started the treatments. Maybe someone else has had better and more recent experience.

There is a new RX out for facial hair called Vaniqa (sp?). I have seen it advertised on TV, but don't have any further info. Let us know what you decide! ETA: the RX is topical not oral.

I have a friend who has been doing electrolisis on her face for years now. At first she was freaked out by the way it made her skin look so that's something to think about. With her she started going a few times a week - now it's once a month.
