I don’t wear makeup all that often but when I do this is the only thing I’ll wear – just looks so natural/flawless. Takes a while to learn how to get it right though. Take some time when you’re not going anywhere & play with it. Generally you want as little as possible on the brush and then apply in layers until you get the right coverage.

A tip I learned from skincare board that just about makes it perfect all day is to apply the foundation, spritz with a very fine spray of toner or even water, let dry completely and then use the mineral veil.

I like Everyday Minerals just as well, the prices are better and their service is great. They even have a free sample kit (you pay shipping) which is a good way to try it, if you've never used mineral makeup before.

I used to use it until I found something I thought was as good for way cheaper. I use Physician's Formula mineral makeup and it costs way less. I really like it. Bare Minerals is great don't get me wrong. I just think it's way overpriced.

Where do you buy Physician's Formula? I believe W-M carries this brand but do they carry this line? I agree that Bare Minerals is way overpriced. I've been wanting to try it forever but just can't fit it into my budget.

I just ordered the sample kit, it was about $3.50 shipping for me. Can't wait to try it!

They have a HUGE list at Walgreens.com so maybe the local Walgreens carries it? Don't know but I'm going to check it out. I break out (in my 40's!) from most makeups; especially in the chin area. So, I just don't wear makeup on my chin but it is the spot that MOST needs makeup!

I think it's one of the absolute best make-up products I've ever used. I've had redness on my face all my life and have tried many different foundations to try to get good coverage for it. Unfortunately, over the past several years, I developed a condition or allergic reaction that causes my face to break out in a rash when I use most liquid foundations, but not with the bare minerals. It covers everything, feels light and doesn't cause any irritation for me so I LOVE it.
I agree that it's very expensive though and have wondered about some of the other brands of mineral make-up that have come out recently. Thanks to the person who mentioned Physician's Formula...I may give that a try. I think Nutrogena has one also, but I don't know much about it or how well it works.

I have the Nutrogena bare minerals foundation and LOVE it. It's a lot easier than the Bare Minerals name brand.. the brush has the minerals in it so there's no trying to get the swirl, tap thing right. JMO..

In my area the Physician's Formula is available at Walgreen's Rite Aid and Fred Meyer for sure. All these stores routinely put it on sale for 40-50% off.

I have been using bareminerals for several years too and love it

started out with a TV sample kit, I was expecting to get more every few months, but it never came, and surprize, I only have to re-order once or twice a year because it lasts me so long. I get reward points on special emails (sephora) from FR or myPoints and stock up to make free shipping. So I think is cost effective . I only use foundation, concealer, finish powder and warmth blush.

I am not a make up wearer but in the past few months, after wanting to spruce up my middle aged looks sans surgery, I tried BM - I love this stuff! I have gotten numerous coments on how well I look since using the stuff, folks asking if I've finally gotten enough sleep ( I have not ;-) They don't even notice I'm wearing makeup!
I am gonna try some of the less expensive brands recommended here, though.
My only complaint about BM is that the containers are too small for me to be able to efficiently do the tapping of the big brush into those small containers w/out losing some of the powders.

There’s a new one that a lot of people are raving about - Lumiere. I haven’t used it but just ordered their sample kit, plus a few eye shadow samples . The sample kit is $3.00 – no shipping on this or any product, It gives you 3 foundations, blush, finishing & eye shadow. Most of their products have samples for $1 each and full size prices are really good. They also take paypal for those that don't use CC.

Ok...I got my order Friday...tried it for the 1st time today after watching the video and I think I'm going to like it , it may take a little time to get the "hang of it" but I live in SC and it was 88 degrees today and my makeup was not sliding off my face, lol.
