New Daddy Gift

I wanted to take a small gift to the hospital to give to my husband, from the baby, after she is born. All I have really come up with is an engraved keychain, but was wondering if ya'll had any other ideas. DH does not wear jewelry. It needs to be kind of small so I can hide it in my bag.

My son was born two months after fathers day so I was lucky enough to get the post-father's day sales but I bought my husband a few "daddy" books that teach a newbie dad how to interact with a baby...and what stages. To this day, both of the books I got him are well-loved bathroom readers! lol
My husband also loved the old navy t-shirt that said world's greatest dad.

My mom bought him this GIANT book of fairy tales that says "read to me daddy" I love it when my son curls up on his lap and says read me a book...it's so cute!

His mom bought him a set of duplo legos because he loved building with his legos when he was a kid. At the age of two, we are finally able to use that gift!

Hope this helps!

How about a Daddy book and a pink Tball glove? If he has no boys and is a sporty kind of guy it will give him something to look forward to when she gets older.

Is he going to be home in time? Sorry if I missed you posting about it.

I think the new daddy book idea sounds cute. Perhaps you could find a greatest dad shirt somewhere online?

I am hoping, he should be home in two weeks, they are letting him leave early. That is if we don't attack Iran!

Thanks for the suggestions, you all have given me some great ideas.

Awww! I was hoping that he would get to come home. That was one of the reasons why we didn't have a baby while dh was in the ARMY because he was afraid that he would be gone. (Although now I have learned that there always is a reason lol )

You will have to tell us what you decide on.

I would get something that says #1 daddy or something like that, even if its for the baby but says something about the daddy, he'd probably like that too. I brought an outfit that said daddys little princess and gave him a card, he liked that alot.
