I just asked the boyfriend and he said yes but he did say that he wishes my "girls" were bigger.

Mine's lovely this way, but I know he can be very tactful. I discovered that when I found out he thought I'd eaten a whole pie (it fell out of the fridge, face down, so I threw it out) and said nothing, because he didn't want to make me feel fat. I don't even like that kind of pie!

Twenty three years, 2 kids and 60 lbs later- he tells me constantly I am as gorgeous as the day we met- he needs glasses desperately but I am not getting them for him

Yeah mine too, thats the one good thing I can say about him. They only "negative" thing he says is that he knows I would feel better about myself and be healthier if I lost weight. But otherwise can't keep his hands off me or as someone else said the dd's. Of course he says... how about breast augmentation.. though he is joking considering my current size! LOL |

I am upset to admit that DH does not like my body. I tried to quit smoking and gained some weight. I am 5ft 8in and 175lbs and in his book I am "disgusting". Maybe I am in denial, but I didn't think I looked that bad. Oh, well...you win some, and you loose some. ![]() Dee

deescourt, do you think your DH is trying in his own way to support you?? Maybe you have been talking about wanting to lose weight b/c of your recent gain and he thinks that tactic will work? It sounds alittle twisted i know, one of my best friends husbands did this and it worked for her! I would probably gain five pounds!

I had not said anything at all about my weight. He volunteered the info, saying I was disgusting and some other mean stuff. I thought he might have been supportive of me quitting smoking...his mean rejection of me has caused me to continue smoking (settles my nerves). I'm going to loose these 35lbs then quit smoking again. I have to as I have COPD. But like I said, you win a few, you loose a few. Dee

MY DH does not think that my body is perfect (we both admit that our bodies are far from perfect), but we also both find each other physically attractive and are complimentary to one another in this regard as well as in other ways. There is so much more to a person that his/her physical appearance. Keeping the love, honesty, and romance in your marriage goes a long way toward how you view one another's physical bodies. Ever found someone who you thought was ugly as home-made sin until you really got to know that person? Then, you found yourself thinking that he/she is somewhat attractive? Works something like that....
