DW and I are hooked on the stupid show this season (never watched before this one..).

Sad of some contestants were booted already. yet some remain still (no need to mention their name...)

The girls wanted to see Gwen sing, but apparently that's tonight.

I thought Gina ROCKED! That song was perfect for her....she did a great job. Thought Haley did good too.

I loved Sanjaya and have honestly never thought that he is *that* bad although I do not think that he is the best singer. I also do not think that he is the worst singer left. I hear fingernails on the chalkboard when another one of the girls sings.

I'm enjoying it more than I did in the first rounds before it got to the big stage w/ the final 12 (elimination?). I also really enjoyed the auditions.

This is the first year that I have watched as well.

Sanjaya!!!!! What's next, pigtails? He is so nutty. My favorite is still Lakisha. Blake wasn't so good this week, I think he can do better.

I thought hailey was awful she ruined the song completely. I also thought sanjah was terrible, but thats no surprise there. I thought the only good ones was melinda, lekisha, blake and even phil stacey did a great job. The rest really stunk.

I voted for Lakeisha (my favorite), Melinda (close 2nd), Phil (He was awesome this week), Gina (She really shined, thought it was her best performance), Jordin (She's wonderful), I think Sanjaya knows he has people behind him and isn't taking this serious at all, Haley didn't do well at all this week, Chris Sligh had a rough one, Chris Richardson didn't do well I didn't think, and I didn't think Blake did good at all, but the Judges thought different. Every web site that I've been on says Lakeisha, Chris Sligh or Haley tonight. I think it should be Sanjaya but probably won't be, so I'm rooting for Haley. She's just not that good.

I thought Haley was pretty bad last night. I like Lakisha did better last night than the week before and she's good overall. I normally like Chris Richardson but last night wasn't my favorite week for him and he was in the bottom 3 last week so I wonder if he'll still be around tonight. Sanjaya.....do I even need to go there? LOL....I will admit that he's done better the past 2 weeks but he's not in the same league as some of the other singers. And the other Chris, can't remember his last name, has curly hair....I didn't think he did so good last night. Melinda was good and I think Phil did good last night. Blake was only OK last night and I normally really like him. I guess my favorite last night was Gina though. She's just not consistently GREAT, IMO. I think overall, as far as being consistently good, I'd have to go with Melinda. I missed Jordin's performance last night.....how did she do? She's normally very good too.

My son wanted to leave the gym before the show was over so I only got to watch through Melinda.

i thought Phil Stacey was excellent last night. I also like it when he wears that sort of hat, softens his look a bit.

Gina also did well. Sanjay and Haley did not. I didn't like Chris Sligh's performance; thought it was weak and same old, same old. Melinda and Lakeisha both still excellent.

I missed Blake, Chris R, and Jordin - how were they?

I thought Gina was fabulous last night and I liked Phils rendition last night better than the original. Last week was rough for them so they needed to wow us and I think they did.

Sanjaya was surprisingly not the bottom 2 in my opinion- I think he finally found a sound that works for his voice- now he just needs a better hairdresser, Chris S was awful as was Chris R and Haley.

Meilinda and Lakisha put me to sleep- maybe the judges thoughts they are the ones to beat have made them complacent.

Blake and Jordin were good but not great.

In case anyone missed it, Chris Sligh went home. He hugged each of the remaining contestants and told Phil (who was one of the bottom 3), "You owe me $50."

Haley, Phil and Chris S. were the bottom 3.

Gwen Stefani lip-synched (sure looked like it to me anyway!) one of the songs off of her new album.

Im not entirely shocked. That song for him was NOT a good pick. Tough song. That, and the cyndi lauper one... TOUGH TOUGH songs.

I voted for sanjaya 100 times.

I agree on the song choices. It can be a most unfortunate thing that the song choice can make or break the vote.

I am still in shock that Sabrina, Sundance, and Stephanie went home so early in the competition. All were high caliber singers. I hope that one or all of them were heard by a record exec. They deserve some sort of recognition.

It is fairly obvious who the pros are. It is fun to watch.
