I was just wondering, what was everyone's best date like with their spouse or significant other.

I'm trying to come up with some ideas, preferable FREE or cheap, extremely.

My SO and I have been together for 18 years and something we do all the time is picnic. And I don't mean the fancy bottle of wine and aged cheese kind of picnic. Today we went out for a drive to find spots for him to take photos of the upcoming River Run Bike weekend and as always I packed something to eat and drink to take along. It just happened to be PBJ and diet coke. Pretty empty fridge, tomorrow is grocery day.
There is just something about sitting outdoors in the sunshine eating a simple meal that pleases me no end. Even when we travel we will sometimes stop at a sandwich shop and find a nice place to pull over and eat.

Before we were married my DH picked me up on a Friday night to go out and neither one of could decide what to do so I told him we should do something crazy. We ended up driving six and a half hours in the pouring rain to Myrtle Beach. we got there at 6:30am and it had stopped raining and the sun was rising over the ocean so we went for a walk along the beach and not long after that it started pouring the rain again. We just kept walking and playing in the surf in the rain. We stayed all day and then drove home with absolutely no sleep so by the time we got back we went straight to bed. We both got really sick a few days later too. It might not have been much but for him to be willing to drive me all that way just because I asked really showed me how much I meant to him. Too me it was very romantic strolling along the beach in the rain.
